That type of performance is only acceptable if we get something from the game, which we almost did, but for a pathetic (acc. to GM!) goal we conceded.

Slightly off topic but I was very impressed with Tony Kelly at half time trying to get the bloke who'd been thrown out for allegedly nothing back in. I've looked for a positve and I've found it!

Years ago I met a Pompey fan on family holiday in Turkey and said I'd look him up when I came down. We met up on the Friday night and he took us down to the Gun Wharf bars near the waterfront, then saturday afternoon in a proper drinking club near the fratton railway station before the game and met up after the game with about 30 of his mates and did a tour of pubs near the ground. Turned out he was a top boy with the 657 in the eighties - we met a lot of guys you seriously would not want to fcuk around with but sounder men and better hospitality you couldn't hope to find.
