Like one match wonder Mark Davies. I'm sure they'll have as much influence as Nobby did.

 

Why are a disproportionate amount of people on here stubbornly pro Megson regardless? in the real world of pubs, work, bumping into people around town i'd say 5% were happy with him yet on here it's the like a manifesto that you have to think he's great. Are some of the regulars on here sheep following others?

Well I'm in camp number 2

I'm not pro anyone.

 

I do however have a grudging respect for Megson and the job in progress.

I can't say I'm in either camp n'all. He's certainly not enigmatic, exciting or ever going ot pull up any trees but what I can't understand is how folk have such venomous hatred for him and seem to think him and PG have a masterplan to wreck the club. It's an odd theory, at best.

I think I probably defend him because I feel some of the comments made about the bloke are just plain nasty and unneccesary.

I must admit the football aint fantastic under Megson but his job is to keep us in the prem and what a mighty fine job he is doing too Now is the wrong time to start negative rubbish about him and hamper his transfer dealings in the next few weeks, the club are sticking by him and so am i Onwards and upwards with Megson !!

Anyway, back to Newcastle.

 

As a staunch Catholic, I'm very disappointed that the Geordie nation had had 2 messiahs return in 2 years, whilst ours hasn't returned in over 2000 years.

As the initiator of this thread, I feel it my duty to record my thoughts about the Toon as each false dawn fades. I watched last night's game and they were awful.I had a tenner on them at evens to win. that was money well spent It just goes to show that despite their dellusions of greatness and big clubfulness and their unique loyal fan's who are that mad that they take their shirts off, that they are actually only human after all. This was highlighted by the way they left in their droves in total stunned silence.

I still think despite last night's showing that they will scrape through with 2 home wins and a draw at Villa.

 

But as I said before... I would love it, just love if they went down it would make my summer. What do they call it shadenfraude or fraudenshade... you know what I mean.

 

We could throw our home game against Hull, that might do for 'em?

I just don't get you pal. This thread has nothing to do with our current manager and you raise the subject again. Do you have a ginger headed voodoo doll or summat? FFS, it gets boring.

 

As others have hinted at, I would only class Casino and Zozzy as pro Megsonites and even they have not gone OTT in their support. The vast majority on here are backing him whilst he's here. Anything else would be counter productive. Dickwads with bedsheets and cardboard signs will be incapable of understanding this. Constant managerial change is a recipe for disaster. Please absorb this.

 

I also note your comment on Mark Davies being a 'one match wonder'. Harsh in the extreme. Most of us have seen enough promise to give the lad a chance.

c) His debut was excellent but i was putting it in context in relation to Nolan's contribution. (over his bolton career before some numbnut slags him off for this season)

My comment about Mark Davies was in response to a post by Morphus77, saying forget Nolan and Cohen is the future, and i said you should judge Nolan over his long term contribution. I know what you wrote Traf , and still Nolan contributed more this season than either Davies or Cohen , fact actually .Not sure what your point is. I didn't say you were judging over longer than this season .
