I think theres only Wor Jackie left to save them now. They've exhausted all other 'heroes'.

Maybe now they'll realise they are shit and stop pretending to be a big important club.

I work with a few Leeds fans, and they've still not given up the 'sleeping giant' bollocks so don't hold your breath!

I had the pleasure of watching it in the main Newcastle pub here in London town, oh it was a pleasure. So deluded!! Seems like the Newcastle lot aren't at all impressed with Nolan.

Forget Nolan - Cohen is the future!

Like one match wonder Mark Davies. I'm sure they'll have as much influence as Nobby did.

Why are a disproportionate amount of people on here stubbornly pro Megson regardless? in the real world of pubs, work, bumping into people around town i'd say 5% were happy with him yet on here it's the like a manifesto that you have to think he's great. Are some of the regulars on here sheep following others?

What the fuck has this got to do with this thread?

Oh, and when does someone become 'Pro-Megson'?

What's wrong with lateral thinking?

You know what i mean , don't need to be pedantic and avoid the issue

Cohen and Mark Davies have both already contributed more to our season than Nolan.

Nolan's only real contribution to his new club was missing a penalty for us.

Sorry Traf i respect your opinion but you are havin a giraffe?

Right Deano, here we go.

I'm getting a bit fucked off now with you having to turn every post into a discussion about our manager.

I don't personally like the guy either, but this thread had cock all to do with him, until you mentioned him.

This isn't Rivals or the Bolton news: Megson does not need to feature in every thread.

Sorry Traf i respect your opinion but you are havin a giraffe?

Not at all.

Nolan was shit before he left.

No, I don't. This is thread about Newcastle being shite and you bring this issue up, again!

So, I if you must 'laterally think' (which I don't think it is but anyway) when does someone become 'Pro-Megson'?

Speaking for myself only, I defend the bloke because of the disproportionate abuse he's taken from people like yourself. At times, I feel somewhat sorry for him and slightly embarrassed by our "supporters".

The majority of the anti-Megson posters on here (and we have a few) seem incapable justifying their hatred/obsession with the bloke. Anyone who attempts to get them to explain themselves is "pro-Megson". If you've only got one point to make, you've done it now, move on.

If you want to have a pop at people on here wholesale, that's a different matter. Please point me in the direction of ANY post where someone has refered to him as either "great" or anything even approaching that...

Ouch! :D

be suprised if they get any more than 4 pts from that (and that being VERY generous!)

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I think that Hull will be the ones to get dragged into it if anything. Newcastle, Hull and Boro have very similar run ins. Oddly enough they all play Villa and their dip in form could be decisive. That Newcastle v Boro match will be the clincher. If they draw then Hull will probably be safe.

I just don't get you pal. This thread has nothing to do with our current manager and you raise the subject again. Do you have a ginger headed voodoo doll or summat? FFS, it gets boring.

As others have hinted at, I would only class Casino and Zozzy as pro Megsonites and even they have not gone OTT in their support. The vast majority on here are backing him whilst he's here. Anything else would be counter productive. Dickwads with bedsheets and cardboard signs will be incapable of understanding this. Constant managerial change is a recipe for disaster. Please absorb this.

I also note your comment on Mark Davies being a 'one match wonder'. Harsh in the extreme. Most of us have seen enough promise to give the lad a chance.

Sorry Traf i respect your opinion but you are havin a giraffe?

cohen has scored a league goal for us nolan didn't

Anyroad Newcastle and Boro going down the Makems must be in dreamland!

Anyway, back to Newcastle.

As a staunch Catholic, I'm very disappointed that the Geordie nation had had 2 messiahs return in 2 years, whilst ours hasn't returned in over 2000 years.

Easy this..

We get a minumum of 3 points from the next two games to guarantee 100% our safety

We throw Browny the lifeline he needs the week after by gifting Hull 3 points

Not arsed who goes down but always thinking about what is best for Bolton - Hull are more likely to be in the relegation picture next season than Newcastle, so lets have Hull staying up!

Also off the same forum;

Nolan is a waste of space and probably the worst player we`ve had in the last 10 years.

Nolan is dropped from the squad- brilliant

Put that singer in midfield and give Nolan the microphone.

He's highly regarded up there too.

browny?

fcuking browny?

relegate the permatan bastard

27 and his best years is well behind him.

I can see a role at Tranmere with that other scouser whose career peaked before he left Bolton.

Newcastle are three points behind Hull but have a better goal difference. Hull are in free fall and looking unlikely to win another game. Newcastle will surely beat Middlesboro who are are currently the worst team in the Premier. That win will save Newcastle and send Hull down.

Not if Hull beat our youth team.

My thoughts too, Yatesy. Hull & Stoke could both be 2nd-season flops, like Reading & others. Keep 'em up this season !

Boro are due a win from somewhere, & their team ain't bad (just their scorers) ..... what better place than at Toon.

Villa are well due an upturn in form to finish the season, so that could fook up the relegation strugglers too.

38 points could be enough for us, but let's win at Wigan while Boro and Newcastle lose and we could be 100% safe.
