it was somebody who could kick a ball straight

 

hull are no great shakes and we'll come up against better, but we were easily good enough to beat them

 

no need for any more creativity on saturday, we created plenty

Been linked with Beckford this morning however this signing shows that the board have faith in megson, if he didn't sign him then i would have thought he would of been on his way out.

Yes, we need a goalscoring striker. True enough, we were more creative - in the first half. But there were chances there that should have been buried.

 

I don't fault Elmander's workrate but he is far from a natural goalscorer. He isn't in a lull, he is just not that kind of forward. Likewise, Davies. Did exceptional last season, but it was more of a one of rather than routine. He's a good target man for knockdowns, Elmander is good for holding it up and passing. We're missing the final piece in the jigsaw.
