Casino Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 We know we need a striker, but is he actually pursuing one? do we? we lost to a goal from an attacking midfielder on saturday it wasn't a striker we were missing it was somebody who could kick a ball straight hull are no great shakes and we'll come up against better, but we were easily good enough to beat them no need for any more creativity on saturday, we created plenty

At least he has noticed the two who have played so far this season cant kick straight . Its just what we need, it will show Davies and Elmander they cant get away with missing glorious chances any more.

True enough, we were more creative - in the first half. But there were chances there that should have been buried. I don't fault Elmander's workrate but he is far from a natural goalscorer. He isn't in a lull, he is just not that kind of forward. Likewise, Davies. Did exceptional last season, but it was more of a one of rather than routine. He's a good target man for knockdowns, Elmander is good for holding it up and passing. We're missing the final piece in the jigsaw.
