Traf Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 if you want 'football' elmander starts before davies everytime. but you cant drop your captain. If you changed the words "you cant" to "you tend not to", then I fully agree.
Casino Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Elbloodymander! are you joking? Chung aint ready yet, he needs a few Hollands pies, swap Kev for Mandy and Gardner for Chung, is it ok if we wait for gardner to be fit?
white noise Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Apparently, the ?7m bid for Emana has now been officially rejected by Sevilla, I guess another one bites the dust!
jayjayoghani Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Apparently, the ?7m bid for Emana has now been officially rejected by Sevilla, I guess another one bites the dust! Feck me that's cheeky by Sevilla. Rejecting bids for Real Betis players.

nwhiteley Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) THE TRANSFER BLOKE ON SSN JUST SAID WE HAD PUT ANOTHER BID IN FOR VELOSO . 10 MILL EUROS . Could be just a ploy to get Real Betis to accept our bid for Emana. Edited August 25, 2009 by nwhiteley
HomerJay Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 ?? Am i missing something, or has it been removed? from existence?
dirty barsteward Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Reading between the lines the Betis chairman has rejected the offer. Emana's Father died over a month back & he returned home during pre season to be with his family. Apparently he has flown back out to Cameroon today for the funeral & will also play in internatiomals in early Sept so will miss early games for Betis at the start of their league 2 campaign, his relationship with the owners of Betis is to say the least non existent due to his refusal to play in the 2nd tier, so now Betis are desperate to get their 7 mil euro back & a bit more. Most Toulouse fans believe Emana was the perect foil for Elmander & the reason for his success. I remember reading on the Toulouse fans website when we bought Elmander, I hope Bolton are not thinking of playing Elmander up front on his own in the Anelka role !! Emana scored 11 & his assist rate is v. good I for one hope we up the bid & get him.
Traf Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Isn't he from Cameroon? Didn't Portsmouth get refused a work permit for him in 2007? And he retired from international football in 2007, so how would we get a work permit for him?
Garrp Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Apperently Emana will sign officially on thursday international clearance and work permit all sorted FACT.

Traf Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 It says on a report he is playing in an African nations against Gabon 09/09/09 Cheers. He must have done a U-turn and now got the required 75% of caps needed. Thanks.

Felgate Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Scores 1 every 3 games for Bremen: current Portuguese international: 6 goals in 22 caps. Decent return in a decent league and if ?6m is correct, looks pretty good value. Probably another sh*te rumour though.
frank_spencer Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Decent return in a decent league and if ?6m is correct, looks pretty good value. Probably another sh*te rumour though. We've been 'linked with' over 60 players this transfer window and signed a grand total of 5 (6 if you include the 16yr old snaffled from Falkirk) how much of that is made up bullshit from the press/agents and how much is real is very debatable

Gaz Nt Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Clips of Emana - Alsonso eat your heart out Also, last season think he got 11 goals from midfield and was Betis' top scorer. He also got 7 assists ... And they went down?!
YATESY Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 By the looks of them we could do with both Emana and Ameida. Can we afford them both? Can we afford not to buy both of them?
