For an innings to have blokes scoring 30, 35, 69, 64, 56 and 37 is dogshit for not one of them to make a big knock. International standard players should not be getting out for scores like that, epecially when half of them got out in cuntish ways. On this pitch, against a crap attack with bad captaincy, anything less than 450 first innings will be dreadful. Our own worst fuckin enemies, once again.

I agree Maggie, although 336-7 at close, after being 97-3 is not a bad recover, but should've been a lot better imo also.

early in the day Boycot and Agnew on the radio said that 340 would be a par score on this wicket. listening to David Llloyd at the end of play he said england should have been looking at min of 400. FWIW this expert reckons Boycot and Aggers are right and that Lancashire halfwit is expecting too much against that lot. on the whole i'm happy enough and just glad the Aussies haven't knocked us all over on the first day.

Petersen and Flintoff are like big kids always trying to outshine each other, the 2 shots that got them out summed the pair of them up, if we lose this series it will be down to this pair of fairies.

Batting is always our weak point but i think 336-7 is a good position, the pitch already has a few rough patches which are breaking up. The aussies showed the ball will swing and Anderson will be hard to bat against and the spinners will cause problems more and more as the wicket breaks up.
