it's a strange phrase that

i know what you mean and historically its something that could be aimed at bwfc but when you've more money going out than is coming in its a strange thing to chuck at 'em

Admittedly we havent had many sales over ?3 mill but when we do get a real good 'un, there doesnt seem to be the will to say no or hold out for a better offer. I'm quite sure it's all to do with finances but Wigan seemed to hold out for quite a good deal on Valencia.

stubbs and mcateer had their best times at bolton and both wanted out, big time

 

could argue we got good deals on them two, as must as i thought they were great for us

 

gudjohnsen - we got the best deal we could get

 

others offered more but we needed cash up front

others quoted his ankle injury and wouldn't agree an acceptable deal

 

and the fee wigan got for valencia - is it any more than the 4 we got for jensen, who never played for us in the prem...probably not

How many players have left us to go on and make a sucess of themselves? There arent many, which imo means weve mostly sold players at the right time and got decent value for money.

You cant really count Eidur because im not sure he was that desperate to leave... it was more Bolton needing the money

Frank, youre quite right. I did actually have to laugh at myself when I posted that as realised I was scraping the barrel a bit. Surprising really that we havent developed more over the years that have brought in a decent wedge.
