Russell Sprout Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 which makes you wonder why Mark Davies didn't get in ahead of him and McCann At the risk of being attacked by a screeching Homer, could I ask what young Basham has done to be excluded from what wasnt the strongest bench I've ever seen? I can only judge him by his first team experiences:- Centre mid V United, he was outstanding, MOM in many Sundays Right mid at Arsenal, apparently didnt look out of place Chelsea away, the catalyst for our recovery including a belter. A better bet for right mid last Saturday, I would have thought so.
Traf Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I'd have also thought Basham and/or Davies would have had the nod over Lee.

dirty barsteward Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 LCY played a part in the first two goals for South Korea in their 3-1 victory over Australia earlier today. BTW he is playing No.17............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBzLLJVL5aE
Didledee Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Can't wait till he gets more playing time. I seen the highlights a little earlier, he also did a few mazy runs and his passing once again looked clinical. Id start him v Pompey.

HomerJay Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 he was shit when he came on against liverpool last week, and was worse when he played in the reserves. i would go as far as saying, he couldnt get in a any current premiership side.

I have watched LCY for the reserves for 90 mins against Man U and caught a few glimpses albeit on video from his appearances for bolton what I will say is that his movements are not often picked up by our 1 dimensional play he makes a clever run and whoosh the ball goes long, I have also seen him thread a good number of balls through to put players in scoring positions only for the recieving players poor quality to let them down, in my opinion the set up and style of our play and the lack of quality in our squad do not allow LCY to shine. Mounts Kipper Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 sorry, i was talkin about basham. My mistake.
Traf Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 in my opinion the set up and style of our play and the lack of quality in our squad do not allow LCY to shine. Is that a considered opinion, or one formed off less than 2 full games in a new team in a foreign country?
