bolty58 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I believe the WW's term is Mongtard Thank you sir, how could I forget. A very apt word in the circumstances.
YATESY Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Really good article on the lad here I am really quite excited now! The size of the transfer fee for a player that has only really been active in the K-League for two years is impressive from a local point of view. Only once has a K-League team received a bigger fee from a European club His skills are as silky as they come in the east, with fast feet and a fast mind. More winger than midfielder, Lee was at his best in 2008 as Seoul finished second in the league, and by that time he was an international. His vision impressed the coach, though too often he ignored the runs of others and indulged himself - a habit that he is losing. He has also been known to lose his cool. Two red cards were flashed in the flustered face of the youngster last season, both for pretty wild tackles, one of which was Tae Kwon Do-esque. It upset a lot of people ? though not as much as a late Lee tackle upset David Beckham in an LA Galaxy exhibition in March 2008. A now-familiar verbal volley came Lee?s way and, for a second, it looked as if more may follow. Lee is used to getting kicked and few players in the robust world of Korean football received as much punishment as him over the past couple of years. The physical side of English football will not be a problem
Northern White Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Really good article on the lad here Admit it - it was the kicking Beckham bit that did for you the most :-)!!!

Rembrandt Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 "It upset a lot of people ? though not as much as a late Lee tackle upset David Beckham in an LA Galaxy exhibition in March 2008." He's my hero already !

Arnold Jackson Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) Ooh eee Chung Yong Lee we've got eee Chung Yong Lee. From the clips available out there on t'internet it seems comparisons with a certain Whitefield lad don't stop at the name. He does rather seem to like knocking the ball way out in front and chasing it, arriving just in time to poke it clear of defender and repeat the cycle... what will be interesting is whether he can knock the cross in so it lands in the danger area close to our strikers, instead of harmlessly onto the other flank ... sorry David Edited August 15, 2009 by Arnold Jackson
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Be patient Mr Megson tells us, where did the critiscism come from on Saturday? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11672_5500248,00.html
no balls Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Be patient Mr Megson tells us, where did the critiscism come from on Saturday? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11672_5500248,00.html That's just the headline. I can't see a quote where Megson says there was any or to tell us to be patient tbh.

FFS the lad had been here 40 hrs before kick-off and doesn't speak a word of the Queen's.
