So if he said 'he would like to do your girlfriend/wife' you wouldn't have a problem with that, as he said he would only like to'?

What's up with that? Surely most folk'd be flattered. Not that a ging has much chance like.

Thats not even the same question. If he said that he would like to do your wife/girlfriend, but later said that he isn't able to (for whatever reason), then he isn't backtracking as he would still want to, but just isn't able to.

I think he said 'I would like to change' so therefore hes not backtracked at all

i posted that yesterday well read

he has backtracked

"Hopefully we can use this summer to bring in players who can play a different type of game"

followed by

"We`re not going to suddenly start playing any differently- the idea is to play the same system, the same style, just with a bit more quality"

at the start of the summer he wanted to bring players to play a different game

but now we're not going to start playing differently and will play the same system

you could argue that the latter is a reactive statement due to not getting in the players he needs to do so

but it sounds more like backtracking, with the use of phrases like "not going to suddenly start playing any differently" and "the idea is"

He made out that there would be no more dour style football

He said he wanted to improve. He has now said dont expect miracles. Where has he said "fcuk it, lets play shite eh".

Mark Davies - didn't play much due to injury but a very good young talent who can pass the ball. First pre-season under his belt, will play more this year and improve.

Sean Davies - drops deep, can carry the ball, shoot and passes well

Lee Chung Fried Rice - Quick, runs with the ball, looks like he can finish too.

Zat Knight - improvement on anything else we had to partner Cahill.

Muamba - freed up to focus on his natural role, can only be a good thing.

Ricketts - Comp for Steinsson, could also be used to change up a system with either him or Steinsson pushed on.

Riga and Elmander have had a year to settle in - i dont think it should be needed at the top level, but then Drogba was shite 1st year for Chelsea, he's turned out alreet.

I think that gives us more options, more talent, more competition, more room for change and more quality than last year. 'fans' like you will be the death of this club and the aura of shite you bleet will force away the young talent we do have - Cahill, Muamba, Davies, etc - you really think they want to be booed all day? Cahill came because he saw something in what Megson wants to do.... he's just signed a new deal, so something must be going right.

In sumation.... fcuk off you negative twot

Well said. He should have kept his gob shut. To be fair though i do give the ginger one credit in recognising that we must play to our strengths, silky passing moves have never suited us and the effective, in your face approach has ensured we've survived this long in the Premiership.
