Burnley 1 Wanderers 1

Anyone know if the 3pm Kick Off is set in stone or likely to be made a lunchtime game (as used to be norm with "high profile" fixtures).

That's not too bad.. still plenty of time yet...

Mrs, miss and son of bgoe will be accompanying me t' TURF on the 26th. not sure where i will be drinking but for anyone in a car who can make a slight detour, my local the Hargreaves on Burnley Rd East, in rossendale serves great real ale and food and is then only 10 to 15 mins drive from the ground.

Not sure whether i'll be having a pre match pint here or elsewhere as i will be consulting the locals as to their plans...cant wait for this must win game as far as i am concerned :D

For a traditional pub serving real ale: he's reet.

The Hargreaves Arms is decent.

You'll find it at BB4 9PQ.

How's everyone getting there then? Could organise a taxi/minibus from Horwich if there's enough interest. Me + 2 so far.

Are the club laying coaches on?

Sorted! Its the Hargreaves for me and the clan. Will be there from 12:00 noon. One of our Burnley mad friends has offered to meet us there then drive us to the game, then he's driving us back to another real ale pub called the Jolly in Waterfoot.

There will be no finer feeling if the boys win and then he has to chauffeur us and then buy the ale!! =D>

now i'm usually the half empty poster here regarding megsons side, but for this game such negativity cannot be tolerated in these parts!!!! ::lol::

There's a pub at the bottom end of Stock Park Road called the Coal Clough Inn or something.

Well, it was my local when I did a 1 month stretch in student digs near there.

Rough as fuck round there, mate.

Is it? I lived in the bottom house on Stock Park Road while i did a ONC at Burnley college. Wasn't rough in 1983.

Michael, just a minor point, but that was 27 years ago.

I know, I know! I haven't been back since so I really wouldn't have a clue. The thing is; here in Bolton, the areas that were desireable 30 years ago are still desireable now. The only place I can think of that's changed from THE place to live to the place to avoid is parts of The Haulgh.

Allegedly parts of Breightmet were once considered "posh".

Can't see it myself. =@

Doesn't Cassie live in the 'posh' bit?

There isn't one anymore.

He just lives in the less rough bit.

Free Junior Whites tickets have arrived :good:

Got to admit was sceptical about this offer but ?10 each for coach and match ticket.

Well done to the club and our eldest can't wait for his first away match

Now have a lift sorted! Cheers Big E :good:

Ok, not sure if its sold out yet! but I have a spare, was going to take it back to the ticket office and get a refund, if anyone wants it @ Face value ?35, give me a shout, it means you have to put up with me in a drunken mess though for 90 mins!!

I was going to go but it'll be a shitter to get to/from & I must be getting far too sensible as I could spend the money much more wisely at the moment.
