Slaven Billic Doesnt Want The Job - Who Else?

Featured Replies

Strange you didn't post that when Carlos pulled Birch up on his spelling on page 2 :nea:

There was a reason I did it other than to be just pedantic or to score cheap points. You've got a fucking cheek really given the lack of full stops or question marks, where appropriate, in your posts.

Strange folk are defending the bloke on the spelling front but not on the accusations he's a mentalist

Michael, I genuinely have a mental block on it's and its. I am aware of it :good:

Anyway, time to move on. I have a suggestion but I don't want the bloke being cyber-stalked - Simon Grayson.

None of the nomads you mention here have made any strides at all in the Prem. I think it's time we started looking at a big-name manager. Obviously someone like El Tel would want mega-bucks but I think he'd come for the right money. Hang on, I'll send him an email.

I can see El Tel for his presence and respect from the lads but we need a tough bastard, we are really in the deep stuff now

El Tel tossed his toys out of the pram when he found out he had no cash and had to sell at Leeds, just like O'Leary

Walter Smith might be worth an approach, he seems to be happy at GR but you don?t know what?s happening behind the scenes, they look to be a mess by all accounts. The more the word tough is mentioned the more concerned I am that we will go for Souness!

Can?t see Grayson coming, he is Leeds born and bred and I can see him looking at taking them all the way back to the prem. As far as El tel and GG are concerned my worry would be that they have been out of the game too long.

Anyone for Bruce Rioch?

I know they say never go back but at least he knew how to command respect among the players.

Walter Smith is likely to be Scotland's next manager

Rioch - past it.

Walter Smith - absolutely shite at Everton.

I mean tough as in someone who can take the knocks and is up for a scrap. I wouldn't want Souness either, he always comes across as someone who is a troublemaker, the type of person would would really piss the players off

Interesting to see Fergie recommending GG, Fergie rarely praises other managers, so I think that speaks volumes

Would get McGinley back on the first plane from Cincinnati, or wherever he is. First task to organise a Christmas do for the fans, get them onside with free beer. Well worth a 20 grand investment

I would also get Andy Walker back as our PR guy. Noticed he is on Sky Sports on a part-time basis, always comes across well on TV and a big BWFC favourite. And PR has always been one of our biggest weaknesses, although I accept employing our current manager doesn't help matters

And I think that with Supa John on board we would get that buzz that might bring a few fans back

He's the only man that can do that, a bit like when Keegan went to Newcastle in the 80's but on a smaller scale

Walter Smith- seriously?

I'm not sure if McGinlay/Walker suggesstion is a joke or not.

And Bilic only has one 'l', Slaven Bilic is the correct spelling (there's an accent on the 'c' but I can't do that)

or a bit like when Shearer went newcastle last year?

Well he has got 33% more points than Megson this season.

It looks like they know what they are talking about then.Perhaps Eddie Davies should consult them rather than Gartside when selecting Megson's replacement.

Peter Reid, with support roles for Super John and Andy Walker would do me.

We saw Souness at an airport somewhere didn't we? Maybe going to Munich. I would have asked about the Bolton job if I'd got chance but he was being mithered by some Liverpool badgeman.

I don't think he'd take the job. I've said it before, I think our reputation is lower that it's ever been. You'd have to have balls of steel to come here now.

I would go for Shearer, a long as he's got an assistant with a decent track record.

Experience is limited, but he will left the team, he'll lift the club and he'll have enough clout to get some money out of the board. But most importantly right now, he's available and will probably take the job.

A certain amount of risk, but that's the case with every managerial appointment.

All academic mind, Megson going nowhere this year. But on the off chance he does, that's the appointment.

Not for Glenn Hoddle then

I think i'll ring Mourinho tomorrow <_<

Sorry, I've not posted on this thread but I've been a bit busy trying to get Jos?'s mobile number.

Oi nb, get your own ridiculous ideas.

How many games did hull go without a win again?

Megson isn't the man we need but by christ neither is Sunbed.

Why not go continental? As Birch mentioned at the start Zenga is interested, it'd certainly be more entertaining than Meggers.

If not then perhaps a young promising manager from the lower divisions.

I don't want us appointing a manager who's failed numerous times in their career already, which is who we'll end up appointing

All piss-taking apart: if Birchy can get hold of this agent once, he can get him again.

Get him to confirm Zenga's availability and desire for the job.

That's what I have never understood with the Megson appointment, he was never going to keep us where BSA had put us because his previous record told us so!!

Surely it's better to appoint someone who has management experience, i.e. not Sammy Lee, who just might make it at the top level. We are not a good enough club to attract top level succesful managers therefore we hhave to take our chance on discovering the next one!

keep going birch

there's some right c?nts on here

Zenga certainly fits that bill
