Smiley Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) and I need to "hint" to family about a present. any suggestions - would prefer a biography type thing. music would be good. and based on my usual taste in things (ie. don't wanna read about Michael Jackson FFS!) help! (something like Scar Tissue - but not that one!) Edited December 23, 2009 by Smiley
Henry_VIII Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Oooh where are you going? Has he not told you he is going away? Think he is off to Russia but doesnt like to mention it. Books, "Damage Done" and "Catch Me If You Can" both page turners that will pass the time. If you fancy fiction "The Long Firm", "He Kills Coppers" and "True Crime" all by Jake Arnott and read them in that order.
bwfc_sue Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Failing that Longy (Sean Longs autobiography) is a good funny book!
athywhite1958 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Agree with Damage Done: Also Daughter has bought this for me for Christmas.

Peter North Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 The Kindly Ones by Jonathan Littel. The sickest novel on the block right now!
Northern Dancer Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Pies and Prejudice: Stuart Maconie In Search of the North. Quite a pleasant read (not all about Wigan) just some of it!
Traf Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Oh, and load this onto your laptop for in-flight "entertainment": In-flight fun

Boothy Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Marching Powder is very long winded imo, not a patch on Damage Done. Opt for that.
