What Has Happened To Our Supporters

Been watching the whites for more years than I care to remember and have often been proud of the Bolton support, one of the main reasons I became a white was of the loyalty noise and passion shown by Bolton fans in the Lever end, it was inspiring, today I have witnessed the biggest shower of shite support from any group of fans than I can remember, the booing of the Klasnic substiution the subsequent you do not know what your doing chants, and then the same when chung yong was taken off and then at the final whistle the booing of Megson was a fookin disgrace, those half wits who think that this type of behaviour will result in anything constructive are mistaken, furthermore should we be relegated this may be a decisive factor, personlly speaking if relegation means that these fans stop coming to games then bring it on.

(In a facebook stylee)

Give the people who abuse Megson medals.Megson is ruining the club.

The deluded people who think they are being super fans by accepting shite as the norm are the ones damaging the club.

I disagree. Given Megsons anti fans diatribe over the past two years I thought the fans got well behind the side and tried to rally them several times when they were playing shiite and were under the cosh. I have spent many years in large away followings and would not call these "a disgrace" even my Burnley friends thought the vocal backing was consistent and loud throughout the 90 mins.

loyalty should not be confused with blind sheep obedience. These boys and girls paid ?35 notes each plus beer and travel expenses to watch some highly paid footballers and their coaches put in a sub par performance against a very poor opposition. They chose to take out their frustration on a manager who blames them for the state of the club on many occasions. They did not get on the players backs once and the players showed their real appreciation by applauding the fans after Megson had scurried down the tunnel. This tells me they too have little sympathy for their boss.

How many games have they lost at home then ?. and who against.

how on earth were Burnley very poor opposition?

just proves that everything MountsKipper said is correct.

Fuckin morons, the lot of them.

Out midfeild two had gone missing.

We had nobody on the bench who would improve us

3 men in the middle was the only option

klasnic can not play up front on his own

davies for klasnic was a sensible sub

lee was totally innefective in the second half

Gardner was again a sensible sub

my third sub would have been elmander for skd as he was getting nothing from the ref.

I dont give a shiite who they have lost and not lost at home to. I saw today with my own eyes how poor they were by the amount of times they passed to ball to our players in midfield whilst under no pressure. Problem wass we then either hoofed it or went sideways or backwards or dallied on the ball.

Mark my words on todays performances Burnley will finish bottom, and unless things are changed we will be just above them

I felt the same at Blackburn last season. That was embarrasing. We were 2-0 and they played with 38 up front during the second half.

However, dont you just stop to think, once in a while, that after so many occasions of sub-mediocre drivel that the fans might be right?

You cannot of seen much premier league football if you think Burnley were poor second half they played with tempo, pasion and good passing ability, if anything takes Burnley down it will be there away form because there home form is good as is there style of football.

It's funny how people see games differently. I thought Burnley were pretty decent in the 2nd half, they ripped thru' our midfield, used the flanks well, and worked their cocks off when they didn't have the ball.On todays showing they could (and should) have won the game 2 or 3 -1, i think their home performances alone will be enough to keep them up........just.

That's absolutely ridiculous

In the second half, Burnley wer superb.

I agree

at half time it was a nailed on 3 points

megson had no response to burnley in the 2nd half,we were lucky to get a point

his substitutions are a joke

I cant believe taylor, cohen and knight finished the game

Go on then, enlighten us. What would you have done different?

I thought Burnley were fantastic, to get even a point against them would be one of the results of the season.

How can anyone criticise our manager. The WW guys are spot on , we are Grimsby Town punching above our weight with a great manager, anyone who doesn't take that view doesn't understand football.

Got the impression when Klasnic got taken off that the fans would have booed whoever was subbed. Basham and Cohen were well off the pace in the second half; people are shouting 'Attack, attack' which is all well and good, but you can't do that if you don't have the ball, which is why he put an extra man in midfield.

It was obvious they were going to come out all guns blazing in the second half, and if we'd seen 20 minutes out I think we'd have won comfortably. As it is we concede an appalling goal; a cross not closed down followed by some ridiculous marking in the centre and suddenly their tails are up and we start panicking.

Megson gets plenty wrong so I'm not going to blindly defend him, but as much as I don't think he's doing that bad a job I wonder if he needs to go purely because that many are against him

brought elmander on for taylor

brought obrian on for knight

brought ricky on for cohen

3 years of hurt and demise, sticks in the mind. Sometimes we win and play well, most times we get outplayed and play very ugly football.

Give them something to support comes to mind. The majority of the time Bolton are not value for money.

Im not talking about just todays game, we are in the relegation zone, the football mainly is shocking and it's boring seeing the other team have 60/70% of the ball.

Most don't like Megson and so when fans see the other team battering us the memory and thoughts of Megson and the football come back and people will not be happy.

If we were top half, usually play well im sure people can forgive a poor performance against Burnley. 2nd half Burnley played well, Bolton didn't.

From going on a 5 match win at Christmas in 2006 we have suffered, not as much as lower league teams or Bolton past in the lower leagues etc but IMO enough to get annoyed when you see poor football and us getting outplayed again.

If people could put to one side the thoughts/memory of the rubbish manager and football then there would be no booing or anger, but it doesn't work like that.

It's at the stage, that if we don't win against any side not in the classed top 6 he will get booed. He will never get the fans support and hasn't improved things.

Some fans probly might like to boo, and see it has the 'inthing' the norm, most people just have different opinions and there feelings show in different ways.

Surely people can't expect fans to be happy when the majority of the time Bolton and Megson lose and play bad.

We need a new manager, a new set of players and some major investment, or things will never change.

brought elmander on for taylor

brought obrian on for knight

brought ricky on for cohen

plus when has any of megsons subs won us a game

brought elmander on for taylor

brought obrian on for knight

brought ricky on for cohen

Rightly or wrongly Megson was quite happy at that stage to take a point. If he takes Cohen off for Gardner and we win then it would have been the right decision (not that I would expect him to get any credit for it), but if Cohen goes off and we lose then he'd get slated for it.

Megson gets plenty wrong so I'm not going to blindly defend him, but as much as I don't think he's doing that bad a job I wonder if he needs to go purely because that many are against him

And therein I think lies the rub. I don't agree with quite a few things he does, well, Knight staying on when he was poor & O'Brien not coming on to replace him, for example. But I think the problem we have at our club is the relationship is completely broken (& for some never actually started) so, as you say, does it matter what he does, it's bound to be wrong.

To be honnest i agree with alot you say but this aint going to happen (a new set of players and some major investment, or things will never change.) No one will bye Bolton unless its very cheap.

I tell you what is wrong

We have punched above our weight for a number of seasons and had relative success.

We are now in the decline and had the most boring football, the worst signings and a shocking time for two years.

The fans want more but the club appointed a manager who is uninspiring, poor communicator and has never been liked.

It was time to get rid months ago and this has totally divided the fans

Dont knock the fans they have their opinion.

I agree, those that think mob rule is the way forward should be applauded.

Opinions are fine and positively encouraged in our society. Baying packs of people behaving the way some do, that's not holding an opinion.
