Just got back from game and it probably wasn't a minority calling for his head. regardless of what formation we are playing we don't defend properly and so are making it difficult for ourselves to win games. stephen hunt should not get a free header in the box. I'm also of the opinion that going 451 wasn't the reason we conceded the second goal. it came pretty much straight after the sub. But if the justification for going four five one is to make us more solid, then that needs looking at. We look equally as likely to concede but less likely to score with four five one, so we might as well just stay with two up top.

Having been banjoed by Chelsea (twice) and Villa, we've played Blackburn, Fulham, Wolves, City, West Ham, Burnley and Hull and have won 1 game. So 1 win in 10

 

Anyone spouting the "unbeaten in 4 games" as a reason to be cheerful needs to lay off the happy pills.

 

And that includes the manager who amazingly says we are on a good run at the moment.

You are winning 2-0 and you have a shit defence therefore you should try to score a third goal not try to defend. Its simple, like you Gary!

You just felt, at the time of the substitution, that we would be under the pump; limited outlet; inviting the pressure with a very suspect defence. TBH, I expected us to lose when they equalised with so long to go.

 

However irrational the hatred of some; however misguided those at the opposite end of the spectrum are - I am afraid that Mr. Megson needs to be removed from BWFC. His ultra negative approach and appalling PR skills have alienated and divided the support to an extent I have never seen before (although we may have come close on the odd occasion). So much so that the club is beginning to feel like a lost cause.

 

I have backed him in the past because of the stupidity of some folk who never gave him a chance (bedsheets on arrival) but, enough is enough. It has reached a point where, when we do well, I am shocked.

 

Make the change now and I believe mid table obscurity beckons. Don't change and I'll wager we'll be dancing on the trapdoor.

Megson cost us two points. After going two nil up we seemed to think it was in the bag and sat back, letting them come at us. Some dodgy defending = 2-1

 

For the substitution, we know that Klasnic can't do a full 90, but at least bring on someone who can offer something going forwards.

 

After that it was 4-1-4-1, the 4 man midfield played a game of "keep the man in the blue shirt with the ball at least 5 yards away from you and sit as deep as possible", no closing down, no pressure, let them do what they want. Sure enough they bag the second and should have got a third. That was what cost us tonight, and from where I was sat it seemed tactial to keep shape and not attack the ball.

 

On a side note, I thought Taylor was better than he has been of late.

Cruising for 70 mins, Hull were all over the place.. our defenders lost a bit of concentration and its 2-1.

 

The Klasnic for McCann substution to me was bizarre. Bad decision. Maybe Chung Chong for McCann would have made more sense.

 

Soon as we had the ball, we pumped it to Davies and he couldnt play it off anywhere.

 

In the end Hull could have made it 3-2.

 

The screams for Megson out makes the whole atmosphere fucking depressing.
