kent_white
Just got back, what a load of shite Did you see it kick off anywhere? Looked like it was gettting a bit hairy near the bridge as we were leaving. Dire game with the exception of the centre halves who I thought both played well again. Team looked tired to me which worries me for the Blackburn game. Struggling to remember a decent move apart from when Davies put Taylor through.... Moderators Casino Posted February 17, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) absolute dog muck, thats 90 minutes we will never get back again. We need to face facts our squad is piss poor, we have a hand full of prem players at best the rest are over rated wasters. OC will have to walk on water with this lot. Why he still gives Taylor and Elmander a game i will not know, even though Taylor had a couple of chances he would not have scored them if he was given 100 attempts, he offers little and his set pieces are very poor. I think our only chance is to play LCY, Weiss and Wilshere in the same team. Elmander should never play for us again, he is worthless and we will not recoup one penny on him. we would be better playing with ten men than playing with him in the team. you sound like one of our x factor 'fans' voted off hunt voted off nolan voted off megson won't be happy til they've voted off taylor and elmander there wasn't one player who could claim to have had a good 90 minutes tonight but lets turn it on elmander and then having a go at coyle when he put cohen on time they did us a favour and fucked off and i asked it a few weeks back...whats actually improved since the 'x factor' mob hounded megson out hes got knight and muamba playing their best stuff and we're keeping a couple of clean sheets thats it, so far Edited February 17, 2010 by Casino

Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted February 18, 2010 Site Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2010 That was our poorest performance yet under Coyle, but lets keep things in perspective. Wigan are fighting for their lives also and have a very organised and combative back four. They bossed our midfield in the first half, but we gained the upper hand in the last 20 mins. Taylor was poor tonight, but I doubt Wilshere or Weiss would have shone against Wigan tonight. They completely shut Davies out of the game. This will be a point gained at the end of the season if we beat them at home. The pitch looked OK at first, but it was clear within 5 mins that you couldn't play a straight pass on the deck. And also, to whoever asked, yes it was the Wigan fans booing at the end. We had a good following numbers wise but nothing really happened to get the atmosphere going. Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted February 18, 2010 Site Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2010 so, when should we expect to win Alf not against the bottom teams cos they're fighting for their lives not against the top teams cos they're better than us Don't be daft. We can expect to win any game, it just won't happen. Blackburn on Sunday might be decent prospect though, as they are looking sweet in mid table at the moment

birch-chorley
you sound like one of our x factor 'fans' voted off hunt voted off nolan voted off megson won't be happy til they've voted off taylor and elmander there wasn't one player who could claim to have had a good 90 minutes tonight but lets turn it on elmander and then having a go at coyle when he put cohen on time they did us a favour and fucked off and i asked it a few weeks back...whats actually improved since the 'x factor' mob hounded megson out hes got knight and muamba playing their best stuff and we're keeping a couple of clean sheets thats it, so far I am not a so called X factor fan and i never hounded out Hunt / Nolan. I did however hound out Megson as he was a shite manager that spent stupid money on shit players (i.e Elmander, Taylor, Robinson, Ricketts, Knight etc) Elmander is not good enough for this league, he never has been and never will be. Look at his CV prior to when he came to us - he was at PSV for four years 3 of which he spent on loan to second tier dutch teams, at 20 odd years old this is not the CV of a prem striker. He is not good enough and never will be. Taylor for me has been awful this season his attitude is very poor, nearly as poor as his performances. If we did not have Wilshere and Wiess on the bench then i would not complain as the paper thin piss poor squad that OC has been left with gives him no other options but as we have these obviously talented assets in the squad i would like to see them play a full 90 minutes as i feel they and LCY would play well together, quality bounces off quality. If Elmander and Taylor continue to play for us then i fear we are doomed as we will fail to take any chances that we are lucky enogh to get. How many of our relegation rivals would have either Taylor or Elmander in the starting eleven, i cant think of any.

Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted February 18, 2010 Site Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2010 neither did I, they could have won 4 nowt for all i know. Based on our performances since Coyle took over, I feel we will stay up by the skin of our teeth. I also thought that Megson would have kept us up. whiteboy
we don't have the personnel for this 4-4-2 with a lot of a width elmander was never a threat and should have been hauled off can't believe how highly some rate muamba fair play to ricketts and knight at the back though

Gaz Nt
I dont know about Weiss, when he came on yesterday it was a little frustrating when he got the ball. He always seemed to opt in trying fancy tricks and trying to take his player then losig the ball, rather than getting it in the box as there wasnt long left and needed a goal. I can't see us getting anything from blackburn to be honest which means the Wolves game is going to be absoloutely MASSIVE and will probably decide our season. Until then... keep the faith Edited February 18, 2010 by Gaz Nt

Guest bwfcdan
Absolute crap that was, people getting on Elmanders back i see? deary me, he wasnt on his own, apart from Muamba and Knight who played well at times, the whole team we're shit (jussi not included). That Midfield is absolute awful, its no wonder we dont score, create feck all chances.. We might as well not have corners, they never get passed the first man A point towards safety though so it's not all doom and gloom! Play like that next week at Spurs and we'll get hammered. COYW!! Buck up your ideas!!! By the way, to those nobs who cheered when Taylor got subbed, get a grip! He's a Wanderers player like it or lump it! Get behind him!! Mounts Kipper
Im in spain and watched the match on my laptop, my view is that we bossed the game and that Wigan were desperately hanging on for the last 20 minute, we also created the better chances.I thought every player gave 100%(In the past giving 100% was all we asked for) and none more so than Taylor, OK he is having a very lean patch and a some of that might be down to our fans getting on his back, if he had converted one of his 2-3 chances people might have viewed his performance a little differently. Why is it Bolton fans always need a scapegoat, Casino is right X factor fans or is it just todays want everything NOW spit the dummy out society we seem ro have become. Let us look at ourselves can we give better support to our team and are we overcritical,is this having an adverse effect on our players? Judging by Matt Taylor reaction to the ironic cheers and applause when he was subbed the answer must be a resounding yes. If we do get relegated our so called fans shoulder some of the blame however small that is. Edited February 18, 2010 by Mounts Kipper
magic legs
At least Taylor is getting on the end of the chances. Felt that we really needed to win one of the away trips to Wigan, Blackburn and Sunderland. Maybe given that Blackburn look almost safe at the moment means we can be a little less cagey against them. Site Supporter HomerJay Posted February 18, 2010 Site Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2010 What a load of steaming dog shit. As mentioned earlier, Taylor seemed to be ironically cheered off, and he wasnt happy looking at the footage. Theres no benefit in it at all. bwfcol
The pitch played a factor in a poor game generally. Taylor was poor last night and has been a disappointment for the majority of the season. Elmander worked his socks off and IMO was one of our better performers. The defence had issues in the 1st half due to lack of communication but the 2nd half it improved and Knight did well. Ricketts is also doing OK out of position. Weiss was very frustrating when he came on, lots of tricks but no final product, I would have had Cohen on for Taylor with Ricky out wide after 70 mins or so. 1 major problem were our full backs giving the ball away, Steinsson was particularly poor although since he claps the fans a lot I can't have a go at him according to some people! Our lack of creativity other than LCY was very obvious, I'd consider Wilshere in for Taylor on Sunday
The Norpig
The section of fans that jeered Taylor going off need shooting. You aren't supporting the team so fuck off. I'm not his biggest fan at the minute but, as said above, he was the only player that looked like scoring. Anybody know when Klasnic is back?
