Asda - Wanderers Wednesday Boll X

In asda yesterday for first time ever in Bolton as i live in warrington but spent the day at cinema, bowling alley, pizza hut etc so decided would have a look in around half 5. Spent ?28 on all kinds of crap and this girl with sonia 200 on her shirt was wondering round the store. She passed me 3 times with a bundle of tickets in her hand but seemed to be looking for specific people to give tickets too. Can anyone explain what this is all about as i was told spend ?20 show her the receipt and you get some tickets but TBH it didnt look that way to me and couldnt be arsed to be cheeky enough in case she chinned me. Do i smell a rat here or do they give 200 tickets away on set wednesdays.

Also heard loads about Bolton Central so took little one in for a mooch. What a load of shit, they have just stuck a ticket office in the middle of a shop and renamed it. Bet getting a ticket on matchdays will be fun from now on.......... :pardon:

its every wednesday before a home game, but its hard work trying to get a ticket, we asked but got told its totally random, (balls)..

, diddles there is a pizza hut, frankie and benny's, KFC Mcdonalds and Greggs at the reebok, thats it though.

I've taken my lad in his Bolton kit after Wednesday training and got tickets for the last 3 home games.

Really? i cant be arsed going all the way to trafford center just try it

I work there, just turn up in a wanderers shirt and you should be ok. on busier days they do it randomly, they're definately not bent about it though as staff dont even get any as its 'unfair'. just be nice to sophie and she should sort you out for some tickets. However, they started getting a bit more strict after dmb tried getting them for the utd game.

I think on a match day you use the other entrance (at the front) so you'll actually go into the new ticket office itself. It's bound to have some teething problems and the queue will be out of the door...but it has to be better than the old set-up.

Well I've been into ASDA on every wanderers wednesday and have watched how it is done... it is completly random SOPHIE 200 not Sonia, has a bingo machine and a till number is pulled out at random. I've watched it done. There is nothing sneaky going on. And as for looking for somebody suitable... thats just ridiculos, maybe she is checking which tills are open. She also does shout outs to help for queues. Maybe she is looking out for queues. I think this is all sour grapes just because you didn't win... and you shouldnt expect to win coming in just once... As for Sophie chinning you... she seems a nice enough person, quite cheerful. I certainly think you are just annoyed as you haven't got the tickets... and before you ask. NO i haven't won any. Despite going in every Wednesday.... AND ive taken in my 3 boys in full strips on a couple of occasions... Its just the luck of the draw!!

Great first post. You'll enjoy it here!

As I've said I've been into ASDA on every Wanderers Wednesday and never won the tickets. I think its a really good thing they are doing however rewarding customers with tickets! My boys get quite excited just to play the game. And thats what people need to remember... its just a game!!! Like till Bingo... I think those that are bitching about it need to get a grip. And if your so desperate for tickets just go and buy some! I will continue to play Wanderers Wednesday with my boys. WISH US LUCK :)

Sonia,

How would you know which till number you have until you've paid? Or am I missing something? Are you meant to loiter in the store after you've finished your shopping?

What time does this go on of a Wednesday?

I had my first Nando chicken meal last week and it was OK

Whats a nando??

Whats a nando??

Think it's what posh people call Burger King

So who's telling porkies? In the words of Harry hill FIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

What time does this go on of a Wednesday?

Oh good God, no. I have a season ticket anyhow. I was wondering if it is just a daytime thing. Me? In Asda? Yeh, right, Gonk. :D

The levels you will go to get out of putting your hand in your pocket... ;) Still top of the league?

Ive expressed my feelings on this before. Whilst the likes of myself and others who pay for a season ticket, the same ex season ticket holders are grabbing the free tickets. A friend of mine whom I had a go at last week has had tickets for four home games so far, this annoys me so much. No fuckin wonder no one buys season tickets when all they need to do is turn up at Asda in Leigh every wednesday and get freebies.

Another annoying fact if it`s true, the Blackburn game will be priced at just fifteen pound a ticket, another stab in the back for season ticket holders.

The freebies are a good incentive folk are non season ticket holders for a reason.

I wouldn't go to Leigh Asda for a free season ticket and a blow job.
