Whos over Stockport / Hyde way how bad is it?

Not sure about there but it is snowing very heavily now in Trafford.

Set off for \sheffield thos morn at 6.15.

 

Checked BBC Travel before I set off and Woddhead was NOT closed, got there and it was!!

 

Turned back and went up the M62 fine, got on the M1 just past Woolley Serivces and mayhem!!

 

Everyone on inside lane doing 20mph, turned round and came back, no one has got in to our place and its upto their knees allegedly!!!!

Lad who works for us lives over Hyde way and says he aint able to get here, he saod same yesterday yet we had folk come up from Telford to collect some goods lying fooker, so today he said same!!!

Hyde was bad yesterday morning but it cleared up. It's even worse this morning though and still snowing (although much lighter). Main roads are OK but no side roads have been gritted. Chances are he's telling the truth.

FARNWORTH LOOKS LIKE A QUAINT PICTURESQUE AUSTRIAN OR EVEN SWISS VILLAGE . LIKE THE ONES YOU USED TO SEE ON SKI SUNDAY .

Been snowing in these parts since Friday.
