It's a sign of (a) How far we've come in a short time and (b ) the quality of a player like Kevin Davies, when it looked like it was one of Kev's poorer games in a white shirt, yet he's cleared one off the line, set up the winner and pressurised the defender into a poor header for our first goal!

I loved it when Holden scored as FSA was jumping up and down like a teenager after his first shag. Bet it removed the smug grin off his face.

That was fantastic! the 1st half was poor, we at least tried to play football, Blackburn were so negative, 5-4-1 formation, 3 cb's, talk about giving us respect. The amount of times the ball was in the air from them was unreal, how many times did Zat Knight head the ball in the air.

 

We started the 2nd half well, and it did look like a red card[2nd yellow] imo, but that helped us not Blackburn, Muamba can shoot afterall, and what an absolute cracker from Holden, them 6 minutes were agonising. Their goal was good play, but quite a fortunate finish with the deflection.

 

Kevin Davies was absolute garbage today, but once again he provides something and assists a goal, Lee was seen more in the right back area, he did nought wrong but he was average, and it was Ricketts who was playing like a winger. I thought Petrov was good and bad, he delivered some great crosses and ran at Salgado, but he did have a massive winge when he got subbed.

 

Not the best performance, but to win 2-1 with 10 men in a derby is further proof that Owen Coyle is changing us for the better, superb win. Sunderland game is very winnable.

I realise this is after-timing but I had 2-1 to Bolton and Petrov to score last goal. In view of the fact that Petrov had already left the game, does this get paid out as a single on 2-1? It's only 13/2 but better me having it than 188Bet.

I watched the game in a bar here in Gran Canaria and Petrov was not happy at being subbed, cursing and swearing on his way off and then throwing his gloves down in disgust when off the pitch, and then it seemed Coyle gave him a blast for doing so...quite right in my opinion.

 

Great result today especially against a team we have had difficulty beating at home.

I can't remember us being that one dimentional under Sam. We did play a lot of long ball and boring stuff under him, but 5-4-1 with 3 CB'S, Zat Knight and Cahill had a field day with their long balls and long throws.

If I'd had Petrov as First scorer and he was on the bench and not yet used, they settle as a single on the correct score. Is this not the same?

Just as Mancini said when it was scarface against us, Coyle said on GMR that it was good to see such passion to stay on the pitch and help the cause.

Petrov can fook off for me his attitude is shit and he is average at best. On to the football what a negative dour manager is Sam, once we had 1 sent off it worked in our favour they actually came out of there shell, thank fook Holden sent the dingles scuttling back into it. Finally what a season we are having, I have regained my love of football, feel like a 12 year old again.
