Tin Pot :nea:

Let's not throw mud at them, our support was dire both in numbers and noise.

Edited by Mounts Kipper

We certainly did look tired, the movement and passing was poor, they were well marshalled and very compact until we scored

Zico, I don't know what you keep watching with Petrov, He was very average when he came on, he refused to take a man on and on more than one occasion went into hiding rather than taking responsibility and wanting the ball. He put in a couple of ok balls bug that's it and he doesn't look arsed at all, I'd personally fuck him off if we can and utilise his wages elsewhere...Moreno can compete with Taylor when chip shop gets back...

Spot on jules regards Petrov, get shut he is pinching a living.

Not the best performance again, but plenty to like about Mark Davies and Rodrigo Moreno.

30 points happy?

i thowt petrov did all that he could've tonight - kept putting it in the right place

elmander really ought to have got at least one, but klasnic missed easier chances at sunderland

i thought davies was awful (got no help from that fat canute, like)

only ones i thought were above 6/10 were robbo and rodrigo (as much for only being a kid and showing a willingness to make stuff happen)

Not the best performance again, but plenty to like about Mark Davies and Rodrigo Moreno.

Moreno yes tonight, but personally I thought mark Davies lost the ball too much; I like him as a player but he gets dominated in the middle too much and him and mamba can't boss games enough together, I still think he'd be good on the right when Holden returns....and make no bones about it fabrice is missing his mate in the middle sorely!

There's many who disagree with me, but I maintain that Fabrice is a class act.

What a big tin of pigshit that was.

Too shite tired understrength teams in bad conditions.

AndI cant even be arsed with Elmander.

But I will say this, Robinson - fucking blinder.

Taylor may look arsed but he couldn't deliver a paper tonight

In a megson team I'd take Taylor over petrov but we're crying out for fresh legs and petrov did more in his spell than Taylor did all night

How you could play Taylor ahead of petrov next league game is beyond me

And why say Taylor can compete with Moreno? Seems fairly clear to me where coyle wants players to play. So much so I was amazed when he took Moreno off and put Taylor on the right, all be it for about 5 mins

Fwiw I know coyle is generally positive but he said post game petrov was terrific from the bench

I've got so used to Robbo turning in good performances, I'd completely overlooked him tonight.

Another good game for what many on here have called a Championship player.

In a megson team I'd take Taylor over petrov

in a megson team, set up 4-3-3 there'd be room for petrov

in a 4-4-2 against a 5 man midfield, he's generally a fcuking luxury

maybe not tonght but definately in previous games, dont think he could of done anything tonight as robinson was in no mans land and cahill should of got back and hoofed it clear

just seen it properly on motd, he should of cut that cross out

I've got so used to Robbo turning in good performances, I'd completely overlooked him tonight.

where was he when they crossed for the goal?

Under megson he generally played like one, let's not pretend otherwise

Moreno is a left sided player playing on the right due to necessity with no chip shop; don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work that out, it's nice to know he can provide competition on either side, he still cuts inside alot but he showed today for the first time he can beat players on his right too

Coyle also said he thought the whole performance was great so read into that what you will

Taylor hasn't been great but he's not been bad either; zico you to petrov is like diddles to CYL

And generally not playing

And generally doing something when he does

He needs to start sooner or later, if just to give Taylor a rest, he shouldve been in 15 mins sooner tonight, can't see why anyone would disagree with that!

and you to Davies on the right!

Fact is, people are saying we need to get actually get rid (of our top scoring midfielder) and I'm saying we need to get him involved more to get a bit of life in our attacking play because generally it's gone stagnant of late

I appreciate petrov is a threat when on form and rhe man can play football

But

We defend so badly as a team I really don't think we can afford to start him at the moment....when we're in form - yes

Agree with that in that we ideally need to change the way coyle sets his team out but there's more chance of a blowjob of the pope than of that happening

Elmander is a joke and the first half was total and utter dross and we ended up paying for it in the end.

4 defeats out of 7, 2 against teams that can't win to save their life at the moment.

A great (and the last) opportunity to keep a nice gap below us.

Stoke, Chelsea and Spurs are next. If we get less than 3 points from those 3 then we will be firmly camped in mid table with all the euphoria of a great start a distant dream.

Bring on fuckin York

We're in a poor run of form and we've got just fifteen players available for selection so it's not as if Coyle can shake things up too much. Despite that we've created enough chances to win two of the last three games and probably get a point out of the other.

What were your expectations at the start of the season? Top seven at the turn of the year? I doubt it.

well, fcuking hell, if it isn't Tony Cee

I can't believe we drew that, we should have won by at least 3 goals.

Elmander and Muamba are to blame here, missing complete sitters, once is bad enough but twice Elmander ffs!

It was destined for Politt to make all those saves, probably won't play again all season, and maybe not again for Wigan, when he made that 1st save from Elmander, it was just obvious that he would end up the hero.

Man of the match for me was M.Davies, followed by Rodrigo, great goal from him and some very nice play to get past players, even though I thought his crossing was poor[except the one which Taylor headed back at him] and sometimes I thought he was a little greedy, a bit like when we had Weiss. Robinson had another good game also. Petrov was fantastc IMO when he came on.

K.Davies for me hasn't had a good game for a while, actually came in to the game the last 15 minutes and started winning flick ons, but I don't think even with the goal v Liverpool that he's at his best, Muamba's passing tonight was very poor and he should have won it in injury time, still he did make some decent tackles, but he lets himself down with his end product.

Wigan can count themselves very lucky, this is defo 2 points dropped, seriously can't be missing that many chances, Elmander is supposed to be a striker, if any scouts/managers where watching him tonight, they may have been put off, he has been fantastic for us this season, but tonight he was such a waste.

I'm classing this draw has typical destiny, we would have won if Kirkland didn't get injured, I'm certain, it was the same when we played Fulham at home and drew 0-0 on the opening day, they had a replacement for Schwarzer and he made save after save from Elmander.
