Bolton And Blackburn

Featured Replies

Over 50,000 fans between both the games and yet when we play each other were lucky to get 25000 on, in the 70s in lower division there was 30000 plus on occasions, its a strange phenomenon would any other local derby draw such poor crowds in respect that both teams can pull between them over 50000 on the same day.

Also been on with less than 10000 at Ewood

But you are right the away followings considering we are only 12 miles apart are shite

what were blackburn charging yestday ?

despite the crowd and the following at this game, its always the one i look forward to the most especially away.

we have played them so much, that familiarity has bred contempt

I certainly hold them in contempt

How many did we take when we won promotion? we had every part of the ground.

what were blackburn charging yestday ?

Must have been good as the crowd was a healthy: 28,426

That's a superb turnout considering there shocking at the moment, the cheap season tickets has really boosted there support, fair play to there fans there support is better than ours and when you take into account the great season and good football we have played it is suprising, hopeffully next season we can get closer to there crowds.

both clubs have worked closely in the past trying to learn off each other in terms of promotions, will be really interesting to see if attendances do increase next season back to the 24k-25K mark really needed at this level

hopefully next season we can get more points than them

i really don't care about their crowds

Bollocks

There isn't a single dingle better than me.

I even doubt you'd find one better than Diddles

My comments were based on the size of there support. Which is bigger than ours, don't think anyone can argue with that.

28,000 plus at home to Brum on both clubs' current form & league positions ?

I suspect they were paying fans to go into Ewood.

fair play to there fans there support is better than ours

Their support since they've been in the Premier League is no better than ours. Up to and including this season both Blackburn and Bolton have averaged 23,500 and don't forget that they've actually won the title during that time.

My comments were based on the size of there support. Which is bigger than ours, don't think anyone can argue with that.

Crowds sizes and the bollox that goes with it doesn't bother me - it's a pile of arse that gets folk wound up and is used as a stick by other fans to poke people with.

Yesterday their crowd was bigger that ours but, if it bothers you that much, you will find that we are higher than them in the all time average attendance table - Hope that makes you sleep better Mounts.

** when we last won the FA Cup our average attendance was 22,029

I don't know, we've got some fat fuckers supporting us

Dont worry undies, I wont be losing any sleep over it, I am just stating facts and that currently we are second best in terms of the number of fans that we can get through the turnstiles. On the plus side I think that for 2 clubs next door to each other and with massive clubs all around us to pull in nearly 50000 home fans is pretty decent, thats more than the lauded Newcastle,Man City and Villa can pull in and 15000 more than the likes of Spurs and Everton currently pull in all who have much larger catchment areas.

Thats why I said CURRENTLY.

Birmingham took 18,000

If anyone gets off on who's got nose fans maybe they ought to go down the road to Old Trafford! Perish the thought that anyone would do that!

what were blackburn charging yestday ?

All adult seats were ?10.

All adult seats were ?10.

That's the way all football stadiums should be heading!

Also blackburn have out free tickets to kids.

I don't think it inspires players to walk out to empty seats everywhere, so I think attendances are an issue personally.

I think Blackburn have been even more bold than us with their ST prices & promotions.Their attendances in the last couple of seasons have reflected that.

What would we be getting if we we're in Blackburn's position?

Must admit that the nightmare scenario for them is going down, as I'd guess they'd have to hike up their prices with reduced TV money.
