Looking at old debates in the House Of Commons, Dennis Skinner is a winner. He took Thatcher and her lap dogs apart. We will never see the likes of him again in todays politics.

Lindsay Hoyle, for comedy value.

Thing is, we'll never see any characters again - they'll all be identikit suited smarmies. "Spitting Image" simply wouldn't work now - you'd just need the one puppet

Having just seen her on Not the Nine O'Clock News I rather like the look of Louise Bagshaw MP for Corby and E Northhants.

How very true, was looking through some old archives on members debates in the mid 80s on that Silentnight bedding company dispute in the 26 week strike in Barnoldswick..

THe "Beast of Bolsover" for me too. If you watched PMQ often enough you realised that he was the first on his feet to get a question in, every time.

He was a very clever man, he could outwit his oppenents with facts. Just a shame the labour party ended up like the the tories. Just another downward spiral under this shambles.

with MP's being as crooked and smarmy as they are, utter loons like him and John 'Clubber' Prescott should be the way forward.

The Mp's dont make many decisions on there own anyroad they're all made by a massive army of Civil servants.

If you wouldn't want to investigate Caroline Flint's ministerial briefs then go and move down south.

Is "Not the Nine O'Clock News" on again. I used to like that programme. I bet Pamela Stephenson is not in the new version. I saw Louise Bagshaw in "Have I Got News For You" last night.

Whether you like him or otherwise you cannot doubt Tony Benns intallect and political knowledge, the man is a genius, shame it is flawed.

Who was the guy who got Egged a few years back, he then turned round and sparked him out?

There was another MP around the same time from Newham NE. I can't remember his name, but him and Skinner used to hunt in packs.

What's his name?

I remember now. Tony Banks.
