June 14, 201115 yr I'll believe it when (as someone else has said on here) when a player is on the Reebok pitch wearing a Bolton shirt.
June 14, 201115 yr What makes you say that? Their owner has been selling stock in Hong Kong to keep them afloat, and that's before they went down. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/03/carson-yeung-mortgage-birmingham-city Birmingham are like West Ham in that they are a big city club who will attract investment to keep them at a good standard. If the current owner jacks it in there will be someone else with money to take over. There's no possibility of Birmingham doing a Bolton and spending 10 years in Division 3 and 4 due to a lack of investment. When Wigan are relegated that's them finished in the Premier League probably forever.Whelan stopped funding them 2 or 3 seasons ago and it is only good fortune/not trying in cups/West Ham and Birmingham collapsing that has kept them up.They will drop like a stone when they are relegated because Whelan has no interest in funding them out of his own pocket any more and there won't be people with money lining up to take over like there will be at Birmingham.
June 14, 201115 yr Could you not make the same argument for Sheff Weds? I don't think Birmingham are anything like West Ham, 1966 World Cup winners and media darlings.
June 14, 201115 yr Now I don't know whether Bolton are in for Jerome or not. It would appear that most on here wouldn't want him to come to Bolton. However that is not our call. All I am saying is that if it does come to pass and Jerome signs for Bolton can the bedsheet brigade not go down the same path as they did with Megson. Give him a chance and support him and not barrack him from his first kick. there's a big difference though Megson was ginger If we sign him then fair enough Just as long as we sign others too, in other positions and we don't pay more than ?5M
June 14, 201115 yr Could you not make the same argument for Sheff Weds? I don't think Birmingham are anything like West Ham, 1966 World Cup winners and media darlings. Agreed. There arent many wealthy people lining up to buy football clubs anymore apart from the massive clubs. Look at Everton for example, nobody seems to fancy buying them and they are way bigger than Birmingham.
June 14, 201115 yr There's no possibility of Birmingham doing a Bolton and spending 10 years in Division 3 and 4 due to a lack of investment. yet they managed to spend 20 years in 2 and 3 between 84 and 2002 thats worse than us you've got an issue over 'lack of investment' haven't you buy some shares and nasty eddie take them off you?
June 14, 201115 yr oh yeah, birmingham city are shite relegation will hit them just as hard as it would hit us shite in a sea of medicrity that is birmingham
June 14, 201115 yr mk, brentford, west ham and villa some real powerhouses they beat in the run to the final
Bid rejected by Birmingham
