They're the ones I'd like to see here, obviously thats without knowing all the financial aspects and not taking into account whether they would come here and all the rest of it.

Because he is still a class act. I know there is some of the romance factor of him coming back to the reebok after so long. But I honestly think he would add class to our team and add something different to anything we have got if used in the right position. Plus I think it would be a signing that would genuinely excite the fans, even if it was just for 1 or 2 seasons.

It was when he'd just come through at Derby at about 17 or something...we had a 4-4-2 magazine with us and were reading about the top Championship prospects with him in it....and then..

To be honest I thought that he was completely wasted at Stoke and never thought he would fit in, at Fulham I only ever saw brief bits and couldn't really make a proper view on how he was playing. It was more the spell at Spurs the season before which made me think that he's still got it.

 

I know that he wouldn't play 90 minutes week in week out, and I don't know what his fitness is like and whether he has any reoccurring injuries or not. But if he hasn't and his fitness was alright, then I think he would be a completely different option to anything we have got and for no transfer fee I think he would be a good signing.

His time at Spurs was good, he could offer something a bit different more so than a Robbie Blake I would say but I wouldnt like to see us persue this kind of signing personally, Swansea are linked with him, think that might show where he fits in now.IMO

It's Gudjohnsen, not Gudjohnson, not even Gudjohnsson which was a 99.98% probability given his nationality. I once found out how it is that his name does not match Icelandic conventions, but I doubt you'd want to know!

Remember an interview with him when he was at Chelski, asked about heading back to Bolton and he just laughed. As if to say, not in a bloody million years.

 

For that reason, I wouldn't want him back. Keep him as a nice, but fairly brief, memory. Anyway, he'll be going to West Ham. Print out this post to remind you I said it when he does.
