Ive been following the swp and n'gog links hourly for a few days now and it seems that we are closing in

on both. If we get them in added to tucay, nrc, glen eagles and pratley, it will be an exiting team in prospect. With maybe an additional surprise? If gc goes i wish him well, but solid centre halves are easier to get in than strikers and influential midfielders

Oh the joy of being a wanderer when you've seen the rubbish of a generation ago! Coywm!!!

What years would you class as a generation out of intrest?

got to agree mate...

remember jumping through hoops at school because we had been linked with a top flight winger! (david lee by the way!)

certainly are exciting times....

Can't see anyone exiting this week to be honest.

Ive been watching em since about 1966. But the bleak times of the mid eighties were challenging.

NB if i've understood your vintage correctly whilst joining WW, you too must have endured much more weak and depressing bolton squads?

Very good.

Len Cantello was a big signing when I was a lad  think we paid ?350,00, suppose you couldn't expect much for that kind of price :D

you're right BL2, and quarter mil for Neil McNab - both left for nowt if my memory serves me well so we ended up hoisting a cwop on th'embankment instead to save us

4 more new signing before end of window im predicting :good:

You've just made me feel old.

In my case it was Terry Wharton.

and in Len Cantello we certainly didnt get much!!!!!!

I think you somewhat missed the point mate...

As a side note, I agree with you that the signings we've made are suggesting an exciting season.

Swp n ngog almost done and oc is still to discuss sturridge

I still think sturridge could be an option. He will be 4th or 5th choice at Chelsea

It all good and well buying a shedload of attackers and im liking the names we are linked with but are we not bothering defending this season? :pardon:

Nope, just like last season.

"We're gonna score one more than you!"

According to shite-talk today, the new kid chelsea have signed for 20 million will be in the squad this weekend - so maybe we can tempt sturridge back on loan - could be a good season!!!

Billy McAdams & Brian Pilkington ......... now THAT's old !

:drinks:

I've been saying that for 3-4 weeks. He's little chance at Chelsea, whatever the manager says.

But I agree with Tylswhite : surely Mears wasn't our only defence strengthening signing ..... was he ??
