You would not get any of this bullshit with non league players! Whos coming to Chorley on sat?

suspended for two weeks

fifa (not city) banning him is the only way forward imo.

players can not be allowed to hold all the cards.

Ban him for what exactly? For refusing to come on as a substitute? How long do you suggest they ban him for this?

It's the money that is now involved in football that is the disease. The attitudes of the players is a symptom.

Players have acted like cunts for years. I remember Pierre Van Hooijdonk going on strike at Forest to earn a move away. The difference nowadays is simply that EVERYTHING is reported and everything is seen by a million different cameras.

Football is stimply more high profile than it used to be and shit like the Tevez situation is now headline news ahead of people dying. It's all quite sad really.

what Mancini should've done was got the assistant ref to do the sub and show Tevez's number anyway, that would've cleared up any misunderstanding, and shown him to be the cunt he is right there on tv

the ideal solution would involve City being able to not play him, stop him joining another club, stop him from leaving the country and not paying him for the remainder of his contract, just keep fining him

aye, just let them do what they want then.

maybe mancini should have text him before the match to see if he fancied turning out to save all this agro?

wtf does people dying have to do with anything?

let players carry on like this and football will implode.

Now about refusing to do a job hes paid for, if you refused at work you would be out the door ASAP, that what Teves is trying to do, so he can go elseswhere, what the guy from FIFA ia saying that banning him stop that happening because guess what hes fucking out of work and not getting just like you would be if you did it

players can not be allowed to hold all the cards.

Though some would like to.

Makes me laugh people suggesting a misunderstanding

It's the 2nd half of a game in which City are 2-0 down. He's a substitute striker and a good one at that

Perhaps he thought Mancini was asking him did he fancy a Chinese

FIFA can do fuck all about this. I repeat, what can they actually charge him with?? Being a cunt? I'm not sure this would stand up in court once Tevez has taken them there.

This is out of FIFAs hands.

Man City, on the other hand, hold all the cards here. They can simply refuse to pick him for the first team until his contract runs out. If he rebels and continues to be disruptive and act like a cunt then City continue to fine him. Will they do this though? No, I doubt it. At some point, they'll just want to put a lid on it and sell him, therefore passing the problem on to someone else.

Too many folk try to compare what happens to us at work and what happens with footballers. Doing that is pointless. For the majority of us, forgetting about the vast difference in salary, we don't sign up to a job for two to four years for starters.

Homer - my point about "dying people" was that football is now headline news far more than it has ever been. Footballers are far bigger stars than they have ever been, which is why they are now on at the start of the news rather than in the sports bit at the end of the news. The reason they are such "superstars" is as a result of the money that has been ploughed into the game (and into their pockets) over the last few years. I have not said anyhwere that Tevez should get away with anything. I'm just saying the only people who can "teach Tevez a lesson" is Man City's owners. Not FIFA.

im pretty sure the players contract will say "when asked to play by the manager, you will do (you ugly cunt)"

you could have that argument every day of the week about every 'other' bit of news.

if its isnt important news, why are you even talking about it?

Fuck me. Why are you even labouring the point?

What is so difficult for you to understand that the point I'm making is that footballers are now front page news far, far more than they ever used to be?

Edit: I'm now tired/bored of this, so will simply say anyone who thinks that FIFA can or will ban a player for refusing to come on as a substitute in a game of football is, with all due respect and no offence intended, a thick cunt.

In my opinion of course.

so stop arguing and just admit you are wrong.

Surely if FIFA refuses to ratify his registration with any other club he would not be able to play.

Sion got kicked out of the uefa cup becuase they had been banned form registerign new players.

Surely if a club can be stopped from registering a player a player can be stopped from registering as well.

Not saying it should or will happen but if the governing body make a desicion on such an event who is to say it wont stick?

Could see some lawyers getting rich on this one.

only one way to end this arguement

wtf Harry Hills finished

Surely if FIFA refuses to ratify his registration with any other club he would not be able to play.

That's absolutely true. FIFA will not let him simply walk out and join someone else.

But they still won't be able to 'ban him' on the grounds of him being a cunt which is what others are asking them to do.

banned for being a 'cunt'?

he should be banned for breach of contract.

as ive already said, im pretty certain his contract will say "that when the manager says jump, you jump"

otherwise every player that wants to engineer a move, just "says nope, not playing, sack me".

Fucking hell Homer. Players DO do that.

As I've already mentioned Pierre Van Hooijdonk did it at Forest, Nasri did it a couple of years ago to force through his move to Arsenal. That's just two straight off the top of my head. It happens all the time.

Edit: Hatem Ben Arfa is another one.

How Tevez behaves at City has got fuck all to do with FIFA.

Unless city go for say gross misconnduct and pass it to FIFA, which if you read what the guy from FIFA said then they would look at it, I'm quite sure there are rules that FIFA have which have never seen the light of day, but that does not mean there dont have them and between FIFA and the rich arabs he could very well be in a wheel chair before he ever gets the chance to kick a ball again

so do we do something to stop or just let it keep happening?

so do we do something to stop or just let it keep happening?

All football clubs need to do something about it, collectively - not FIFA. All football clubs need to stop allowing players and agents to take the piss with their wage demands for starters.

Nothing's going to happen though, sadly ... until, as you've suggested might happen, the game implodes.

Edited by DazBobParr

Not heard much from those manure fans who were slagging Fergie for releasing Terez. F is laughing up his sleeve now.

Tevez and his agent have always been problematic.

City have opened discussions with Fray Bentos - no9t sure whether it's the football club or the meat cannery.

oh great Dave Whelan is adding his 2 penneth on R5
