Rest in peace Wakesy.

I met you a few times on away 'excursions' years ago, a Great lad who was passionate about Bolton.

My brother in law will be gutted when he hears this news as i believe he grew up with you.

Rest in peace buddy

I'm shocked - I knew John well, a good man and a top lad

Only 48 years old - far to young

RIP Wakesy

Jeebster - Do you know how he died? I knew him socially (friend of a friend) but I hadn't seen him for a while.

A good lad. RIP

Head about it, but didn't know who anyone meant till I saw the picture. Sorry and God Bless!

Didn't he have the Queen Lizzie for a while, top lad had some decent days out with him and his brother.

Thanks Bobcat.

Knew of Wakesy for many years had his band of mates so usually just nodded and let on, I do know that some of the LH lads knew him very well and always held him in high regard. Never like to hear of someone relatively young dyeing even worse when they are loyal whites. RIP Wakesy sorry I never got round to having a chat about the whites.

eye sad news indeed had a lot of time for john ,in fact all his family ,,

On our table at the Reebok Sportsman's Dinner when Spikey, McGuinness & Archie Kelly were on.

Reffed me at Vets football a good few times over the last few years. Came across as a very likeable bloke.

RIP
