Waist high cubicles are the future.

You can stand during the game and crouch down for a crafty wank at half-time.

Girls may struggle a little with this as we need to get our leg a little bit over, so to speak.

Then again, we shouldn't be at the match anyway,so at ease.

I stood very safely at Macc this year it was still 2012 and it was definately a football match, so safe standing does have a place in modern football despite what the Hillsborough Supporters think - it's fucking nonsense that you can stand at lower league grounds but not in the prem - if liverpool drew Macc in the cup would they insist on temporary seating going in.

It's the nanny state gone made and it pisses me right off - how the fuck they get away with this when what 3-4-5 new rugby league grounds have gone up with terracing in the last 2 or 3 years - what we saying it's ok if rugby league fans die watching sport but not us.

The sooner every league ground except anfield has standing the better not safe standing just standing where you can only get in if you have a ticket

The scoucers would still try and force their way in without tickets for big games

Standing and normal terracing would work with sufficient thought into the design of the stadium

Nice idea...

... but ...

Waist height based on who's height? For example, if it was measured at my waist then Little Whitt would spend 90 minutes looking like Chad. :D

The little people would have their own enclosure, next to the gingers.

That's not fair. We'll need some of those sticks with perfume on the end to mask the smell of the gingers.

I've ordered a box for you to stand on, so you can stand with the rest of us.

Arrrrrh, ta. I'm proper touched.

I'd have thought NSL for sure - create a home end

nah, see there's my mates folks and 70 year old auntie who wouldn't want to stand or pay more another stand if they had to be shifted - you'd have to relocate any out the 1500 or so regulars who don't want to stand

the ESL in the south corner has always had the persistant standers and doubt anyone there would have an issue

moot point though as just can't see it happening

You're forgetting the UEFA rule that forbids perfume inside football grounds ;)

Commentary by Margaret Aspinall chairwoman of the Hillsborough Families Support Group

There is no place for standing in modern football and I cannot comprehend why people want to go back to how it was in the 1980s.

It is both insulting and insensitive to suggest that it is a good idea, particularly knowing there has never been any accountability for what happened at Hillsborough in April 1989.

Shut up love.

Made me laugh that Smiffs

I was whittering on to some poor bloke about that saga in the pub on Saturday funnily enough :D

It's filed under 'annoying incidents on our UEFA jollybobs'.
