Saw that a while ago, is it the article saying average ticket prices now would be ?7 if they went in line with inflation?

Every ground in the top few divisions would be full at that price.

I dont think every ground would be full with terracing again, it wasnt before

i say it will happen.

Yes it was, everybody knows that :)

I wonder if the werthers lot would go on terracing

was funny at macc when one person said to kevin rose he had to move because somebody was stood there, his reply was priceless

I wonder what the Reebok would hold if we returned to standing in the lower tiers would imagine easily accomodate 40,000 plus.

good news this

reverse the smoking ban as well and we will need to add the mythical rows a-c

people should block all memories of old standing when evaluating new.

it will be totally different....

wonder if they bought it 'back' to the reebok, they will bring that awfull smell of piss/pies/stale ale with it?

They had to lock the gates at Burnden at 2pm, it was so full.

depends if jazza stood near you haha

Some fooker must be able to replicate the smell and have machines that waft in the smell into the terrace to make it authentic,

not with H&S bods

one of my favorite memories of burnden was as a kid in the queue for a pie under the burnden paddock, right next to the away fans bit on the paddock.

god knows what team we were playing, but the wooden partition got smashed in and old scaffolding poles were used as weapons by the invading bolton lot.

didnt have a clue what was going on at the time!

And that was for evening kick offs...

Think that was Burnely if my memory serves me right.

Somebody's working on the technology right now.FACT.

Pre 1996 when football became middle class and fashionable.

There's no reason for it not to come back like the German model, I don't think it'll ever happen as certain groups are so opposed to it they won't look at the product.. it'd have to be cleverly marketed.. I didn't realise till the other day clubs don't get a football grant to build a new ground unless its all seater which is a subtle way of getting rid of standing

It is absolute madness that it cannot come back. They have it at many rugby league grounds with little or no problem at all.

NAC Breda have terracing over here. It is great. You can go and watch football and have a few beers whilst stood up. no issues of pushing etc.

It'll never happen because of the 'Tipping, tripping and being given the wrong type of ladder' ambulance chasing compensation culture in the UK. It's a bit shit (well a lot shit) as, using a big generalisation here, most folk who attend football matches are the of the mindset that thinks "if I get hurt when out and about, it was probably my own fault for being a clumsy oaf at that time".

Would standing up improve the morgue-like atmosphere at The Reebok? It's debatable, although the Quarter Final against Charlton - when all the East Lower was stood en masse, sticks in my mind as one of our better 'atmosphere' games. Like other posters have said though, it's a moot point, and I agree with them - I don't think it'll ever happen.

I think it will happen. East lower terrace, nice.

the reebok will look even more empty than normal.

people think tickets will be tuppence are kidding themselves.

a section of home fans may be allowed to stand, but no way will away fans be allowed.

can`t they just pipe it straight in from Wetherspoons? Connect a fan at one end like?

From one fan to another?
