I would hate anyone to have their prejudices challenged by the addition of simple facts, but for one, the 45k average figure is bollocks.   http://www.payscale.com/research/UK/Job=Fuel_Tanker_Driver

The facts are talks are taking place at ACAS in Monday.

Unison have to give 7 days notice of a strike.

There will be no strike over Easter(see above)

No need nor reason to panic buy.

Just been down to Morrisons in Harwood. utter fucking madness!

It must be great for the petrol station owners, the fuel suppliers and anyone else who takes a cut of the money charged for fuel (Such as the very folk who created this mad panic situation in the first place)

I really do need to fill up tomorrow. I hope everybody's calmed down by then.

I mean, how many times can they fill their cars?

cheeky cunt garage owners slapped the price of fuel up, swear im gonna burn one down piss taking twats

?1.50 for diesel at the BP garage top of Blackburn Road!!!!

Passed 3 dry garages on my way home

I've got 50 miles in the tank

On a lighter note, here's a "commie" conspiracy i heard tuver day :)

Government appears to encourage panic buying. Panic buying causes fuel shortages. Fuel shortages leads to long queues at petrol stations. People waiting a long time need to eat. Petrol stations sell hot Ginsters pasties. Government is to charge 20% VAT on hot pasties.

Not about money my arse, the fuel companies are sub contracting the work out as is their right and the tanker drivers are shit scared as the 3rd party firms are putting low bids in based on getting in drivers who are just as qualified but will do it for a more reasonable rate. They just want to close the doors behind them and stay on the gravy train.

Im sure they are not being asked to break driving / tachograph laws by there blue chip employer just like the firms that are putting in lower quotes wont.

If they dont like it retrain and go elsewhere, I bet not many of them will earn that sort of poke elsewhere.

It appears that Horwich is now dry.

The man at Texaco said he's due a delivery on Monday and expects to sell fuck all next week.

Dribbling, gormless, slack jawed cunts most people. I hope anyone who topped up needlessly because a politician said to gets diabetes.

I hope you're taking the piss.

I really do have to fill up tomorrow or I'm going away on a push iron!

Just past Carlisle so that'll be my last option.

Top tip.

Get onto Rivington services, then tie your car to the back of a big truck.

Like hitch hiking but without the axe murder.

the tesco at walkden is caos! the queues where going back to KFC before.

Middlebrook Tesco and Asda have been on off all day but i expect they get a delivery every day.

This just proves the government are fukc wits why would you say"make sure you fill up if its half empty" to a nation of people who panic when asda is closed for Boxing day each year.

No queue and decent price

Well, it's only a 5 minute walk across the field to the services so a couple of us were tempted to just go there, hitch with some murderer after his had his breakie up to Carlisle, a couple of pints in Wethys then a taxi to the cottage. That'll save a few quid.

What serial killer in their right mind would be daft enough to try and murder us to death?

Make it a packet of Scampi fries instead and you have a deal.

The local radio was on before saying the old bill have issued warnings as petrol theft has sky rocketed. Apparantly loads of low level criminals are going round syphoning the full fuel tanks.

Be careful people it will be like mad max soon. I shall be OK with my 6 month supply burried in Jerry cans in the garden.
