Didledee Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Gonna try and watch every game myself and probably put on bets to keep it more interesting. I wouldn't usually tune in to watch a Poland v Greece game for example, but at major tournaments it's different, looking forward to it beginning, the opening ceremony, the anticipation with England, will or won't we turn up, watching some of world's great players competing against each other. Hoping for lots of goals and memorable ones at that, the WC2010 took a while to get going and people were complaining about the vuvuzela's, wasn't the greatest tournament. I'd say I'm at 9/10, It's great being a fan of football,
gonzo Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 10...im a big fat girly sucker when it comes to stuff like this.
Big E Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 i am a 10 also. absolutely bouncing about it over here. Orange flags everywhere. Peoples entire houses covered. Its great. basically going to be one long piss up
Adlington Trotter Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Very much looking forward to it. Much more so than the Olympics. Always am with international tournaments. Just gutted that so many of the games kick off at five when I'm travelling back home from work.
Boothy Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Hodgson / Scousefest pretty much nullified it for me. Sure that will be different come Sunday afternoon though.
floyd Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Meh, can't really be arsed. Will watch the England games and catch the highlights of the rest. When are the Championship fixtures out?

freds dad Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I just can't get interested in it. Just checked my work pattern and I'm working two of the England games. I would normally have sorted out a day off or a swap so I didn't miss them but didn't even consider it. I may be able to watch it at work though as I'm an iPad wanker.
tarian1979 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Tournament interest 8/10 - will try to watch as much as possible England interest 3/10
DazBob Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 i am a 10 also. absolutely bouncing about it over here. Orange flags everywhere. Peoples entire houses covered. Its great. basically going to be one long piss up Strange isn't it? When , as you've said, the Dutch cover everything in orange in support of their team everyone says it looks fantastic and that it's great that they are all behind their team. When we, the English, try do anything similar we label ourselves as scrotes ... especially if you put them little flags on your car windows. Face painting is also fine if you're Swedish, Swiss, Croatian etc. If you're English and you do it you're a simpleton.
Guest Frandsen08 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 to be fair daz the swedish broads who use face paint usually look like this
DazBob Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 (edited) to be fair daz the swedish broads who use face paint usually look like this You mean they're the ones that the cameras zoom in on...? There are clearly some TV companies who employ camera men to find and zoom in on hotties in the crowd - it's basically being a peeping tom and being paid for it - how do I get a job doing that? Over here though EVERYBODY seems to get involved. it is great. my England flag will be up in the office once it has been delivered. BBQ's galore arranged for the matches. going to be a great tournament.
no balls Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I was on a 2 but after making my work colleagues play World in Motion a couple of times I've lept up to 4. The weather's not helping at all.
MalcolmW Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Meh, can't really be arsed. Will watch the England games and catch the highlights of the rest. When are the Championship fixtures out? Monday 18th - 9am
Andydee Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Not got excited or particularly interested so far, this may well change and be used as an excuse for a couple of hours in front of the telly or even a visit to the pub. If we get past the group stages I'll review.
Tyldesley White Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 My interest in England is about 4/10 at the moment and will raise to about 6/10 when the games are on. It was 10/10 for Euro 96 then dropped slightly for each tournament since Overall tournament interest 5/10, i won't sit through many 90 minutes of games other than the England games but will catch most of the highlights
anewman Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 couldnt give a fuck anymore been all over watching england and its wank now
athywhite1958 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 couldnt give a fuck anymore been all over watching england and its wank now The trips are as good as they ever were, the football spoils it for 2 hours
no balls Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Back down to a 2. The BBC coverage is going to be biz & I can't expect ITV's being better. I hope the football overshadows this.
