Matchday Prices......

Featured Replies

They sure make S/T's look good value which in principle they are if you can committ to 23 games or afford one.

Perhaps our club have forgotten that we have been relegated as i see that prices have been increased.

There are more games, there is generally less money around and the opposition is far far less attractive for many people.

Take the first 2 games for example - Derby being Tuesday mid-week and Notts Forest being 3 days later Friday night and live on Sky. They are both category B games meaning its £30 for a family ticket. How many non S/T holders are likely to attend both at that sort of cost? Not many at all i would guess.

Unless the club offer various "deals" throughout the season, which they have done well over the previous years then the clubs "causal" supporters will drop off dramatically in my opinion.

No doubt others on here with have an alternative opinion.

£30 for a family ticket sounds very good value to me. What is that 2 adults and one child?

Agreed.

if it is 2 x adult, 1 x child then based on £12 per adult and £6 for the child then I'd say excellent value. Not much more than going to the cinema.

Edit: Just seen you've posted it's 1+1. "Family" sounds a bit misleading if you ask me ... and all of a sudden it's not anywhere near as much of a bargain. I'd have said £20-£25 would be about right for a parent to take their child

I don't know what a "family ticket" is either, but if it is two adults and 1 kid, then £30 is fantastic value

I did not know that, it's still not bad value really.

if you think it's too much, then where do you think the pricing should be pitched?

i can source tickets for games at ten quid each adult and kids

only snag, they are for north upper

In the North Upper:

Category A prices have dropped from £35 to £32.

Category B prices have dropped from £31 to £27.

Category C proces have dropped from £28 to £24.

Everywhere else has stayed the same, expect for the wing stands, which are priced nearly the same as the equivalent tier behind the goal.

You would hope their would be significantly more Category C games, but if the Forest game doesn't fall into that category, I'm not sure what does.

Category A games are unthinkable.

In fact, I think it's shameful they haven't done away with the concept altogether.

The suggestion that Leeds at home is as attractive a fixture as the Scum or Arsenal is ridiculous.

I think some need to just swallow the cost a bit, stop moaning and get behind your club.

I see there's three occassions by not long into November where we have two home games in 3 days. Surely they're good candidates for combination deals that get families etc into both games? Otherwise a lot will be thinking "either or" for them games e.g Sod Palace but do Leeds, do the Cardiff game but sack off Leicester...

Plenty do

However, it doesn't take a genius to look at the Premier League table over the last few seasons and think, "we can maximise gate receipts against them six and probably get away with charging x amount for those games, but no fucker will turn up for the rest unless we charge as little as possible".

Who the fuck are the Championship Big 6?

Wolves? Middlesbrough? Cardiff?

Indeed they should stop categorising matches in the Championship, it's pointless when we'll likely never sell out.

Folk just sometimes wanna know exactly what it's going to cost too

About time they realised that you can have 1 seat in the ESL and 1 seat in the North basically next to one another but completely different prices. Only taken them 15 years.

Surely it's the shame of going through the door marked North Stand though :D

Buy a ticket for NSL and walk through the gate on Row Z into ESL before 2.30pm.

no chance.

I sit in North lower, right on the border of the West stand. There's usually a steward stationed there. If I so much as put a foot in the west stand he gets all pissy about it.

Not always , had them for both the north upper and east upper last season.

a season ticket is 360 quid for the best seats, isn't it?

if you only do 18 games it's only 20 a game

i don't know what folk fcuking want

each game i attend with my eldest costs us about 15 quid and its cheaper behind the goal

Excellent value, it's true.

This is about matchday prices, though.

We aren't going to fill the ground with season holders.

i don't know what folk fcuking want

a free pie and a handjob at half time as well probably

we're not

but

the clubs policy is all about maximising teh number of season ticket holders

they have to be attractive otherwise you aint going to shit them for a ground thats regularly going to be half full

we didn't have many 'casual' fans last year and we'll have less this year

it gives me chills thinking just how poor our matchday income must be

kids paying 49 a season, or even 11 quid, like mine, ffs

and season tickets on interest free

fcuking hell, lets just make it free

and i'll tell you what, the loudest moans when we spend nowt will be from the fcukers paying nowt in

If we're winning every week and playing well, theoretically, there might be a few thousand who come for a look, like what they see and then come back the next game.

Some of them might like it a lot and buy season tickets next year.

At the moment, we're making it attractive to folk who already want to go.

Nothing wrong with that, but there's no reason why we can't do both.
