Dunno, if this has been covered earlier in the thread but...

Speaking to a work colleague today whose a leeds fan whose going tonight. By all accounts its a nightmare to park nearby. Brighton FC realise this so with your match ticket you get free public transport from a number of train stations near by.

Apparently Lewes (Said Lewis when is should be said Loars) is the best place to get from. Park up there and get train to ground train station.

Im living in brighton and been to a few events at the amex, If your driving on the day don't even bother trying to get into brighton centre take one of the park and rides and make sure you don't leave it late to arrive because the park and rides fill up and then they direct you to another. No pubs near the ground but the bars in the ground do decent beers

If your coming into town and don't have any time constraints I would take the train out to the stadium but again aim to get to the station for 1 ish because there is always big ques for trains upto the stadium.

Little inside info here as well if anyone has an American Express card, download the four square app. if you check in at the stadium via four square you will get £10 credit if you spend £10 on the American Express account. So pretty much three pints for free.

1 ish ?? So what's it like after the match getting back to Brighton station ? I've seen somewhere that it's easier to get to Lewes & then onto London , but that makes it trickier to get train tickets if you're going into Brighton pre-match.

Im watching the Brighton v Leeds game tonight on telly - how is it Leeds are getting all these decent Friday night aways?!

I'd prefer a Saturday to be honest.

I wasnt too keen on the rushing about after work for the Forest home game earlier on this season, but for an away game where Id probably have the day off anyway it might be a good do, and a day longer to recover!

Thats a very good point....

Although Friday night sessions do encourage weekend benders.

Trains are a bit of a nightmare in general as its a bit like trains from the reebok (infrequent). Either leave with a few minutes left or stick around for a pint after the match because the bar stays open inside the ground for an hour after the game. The station is located directly the opposite end to the away end so if you are in a rush I would try and beat the rush

i think we're doing taxi post match

Ground is right next to Falmer station, which is one stop on from Lewes. There are more trains from Brighton up to London than from Lewes (speaking from experience having been stuck on Lewes station for nearly an hour having just missed a train)

And there is absolutely bugger all around the ground, apart from a Virgin Active gym.
