To get away from the backward customers......that'll learn me!

There used to be a reet good one on Redbank Road in Bispham in the 1980s - used to have a small dining room tucked away in the back...

Was in the area a few years back and got the tram up there, to have a look at that capsized ship and possibly get fish and chips. Christ almighty, what happened to the quaint road of italian cafes/ice cream parlours, penny arcades, bucket and spade shops and chippies from my childhood? It was like a bomb had dropped on bedsit central - complete with filthy net curtains at every window. Went to get some cans for the journey home and the offy was one of those where the booze (even lager, bitter etc.) is behind glass. What a shithole.

There's a good little proper chippy in Crompton Road in Macclesfield. It serves just the normal chippy stuff, none of this kebab and burger shit and it even has a small dining room where the food is served on china plates.

It's actually not that bad. Today's lunch was a treat off our head designer. A chip barm, bless him.

Was that a treat to celebrate him designing a really good head?
