The depths those in charge of SYP went to was unbelievable. The tossers doing the investigation from EMP were just as bad!   The ins and outs of that day is known and even if you are of the opinion

Isn't that Wigan?

Ok I'm boltonian who supports everton if that makes you feel better, who wants Bolton to do well. Happy

You can handle the Truth!

Welcome, Daisy Miller

Ok I'm boltonian who supports everton if that makes you feel better, who wants Bolton to do well. Happy

miller, just out of curiosity and with no hidden agenda, what were your initial thoughts when hillsborough happened ?

Are they different to Cowhead types? Further up or down the food chain?

Down, deffo, virtually Hindleyers.

Wad only 9 when it happened mate so if I'm honest no real thoughts on it just remember it being something bad happening. However through the years always and knew there was a massive injustice being done and yes probably influenced from my being a evertonian, sorry correct that boltonian, who supports everton who lived in daisy hill and now lives in Leigh

in the 80's,our game away at scarborough saw serious overcrowding in our end. i was in a mob of 60 lads who jibbed in,no doubt many others did,as the official number of BWFC that day were 600,anyone who was there knows there was a damn site more than that. again at blackpool on the boxing day,how many got in for nothing, when the gates to the kop end were kicked in ?i had no ticket, and was outside with a good thousand or two,who were all ticketless and soon took advantage of the 'free gate'.

against wrexham in '88 on our promotion from the 4th division. i like many others were ushered in the side terrace to relieve pressure on the terraces behind the nets. like a few have said, similar incidents could have happened at many grounds, ours definitely included.

on a side note, watching highlights of games in south america, esp argentina, makes me wonder when we're going to see a disaster over there. that is just a matter of time

Come on Miami, everyone knows there were 8,000 Bolton in Scarborough that day......

On topic though, and for about the billionth time, if the "justice groups" would simply issue a statement that says "We know Liverpool fans had no tickets and were jibbing in pissed up, but every set of fans did the same back then", not one person on here (or anywhere else) would have a problem with them chasing the Police for explanations.

That's all it would take, honestly. The Police would then be free to say "Yep, they turned up in more numbers than we prepared for, we fucked up with the standard of policing, they fucked up with their careless, contemporary attitude".

Times have moved on. It's time now for the families to do the same.

Of course, they won't.

Better than Leigh?

I'll give it a week.

I'll give it a week.

Until they ask for compensation?

Until they ask for compensation?

It's good, but it's not right.

i've a red mate who was at hillsborough,a few lads on here know him well, lives in atherton. he lost a mate that day, rarely talks about it to be honest

cheers pal and a belated welcome to the site. hope your stay isn't shortlived

This here "pissed on, stole from, verbal abuse towards the lifeless", which sick bastard fabricates shit like that?

What for? I've not been rude to anyone, insulted anyone, used bad language, just have a difference of opinion who believes on this occasion the LFC fans are innocent. If that warrants a ban then it's a sad state of affairs.

The Sun. And obviously everyone believes them.

Right

Those 96 people should have made it home, no-one thinks otherwise.

In many ways, it was always going to be something like this that was the catalyst of a watershed for English football, that needed to happen. It's a shame it took a tragedy on this scale.

It's no coincidence that Liverpool fans have since gained a reputation for shifting blame around. So many fans are tired of their constantly self pitying attiitude. They would have the support of every single football fan if they would just show a glimpse of humility, but that won't happen. Until it does, the spectre of a huge compensation claim will linger over them like a workshy Sword of Damocles.
