Got the 90 minute score from my brother before boarding; had to rush to a newsagents at Singapore airport to get an English-language paper to see the inside headline 'Everton crash out'.

 

And (weirdly) I'm off on a 6-week trip to the southern hemisphere tomorrow. Coincidence ? I think not ......

 

Must be due a giant-killing run to the quarter-finals at least then. I should be back in time for that.

I had a full time job & worked evenings in a pub. Half day at the full time job, was given a lift to the game by the aforementioned landlord, boss.
