miamiwhite Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 set off early doors all fine, got to Bootle and it was like a blizzard. Didn't even put the ladder up,had a brew and headed back home. Feet up now with a Vimto Brandy. one good thing were the roads, virtually clear all the way back, looks like most people have decided to be sensible for once and only make journeys that are necessary Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Why don't kids make their own way home anymore? It was a badge of honour walking to and from primary school, if you were still escorted/dropped off when you were at secondary school you were considered a bit odd...This is late 80s and early 90s not in the dark recesses of time. DazBob Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I thought parents put their kids in taxis, with a packet of crisps for breakfast nowadays. Quote

At my school people flicked spitballs on you if you wore a blazer (aside from the 1st year, when everyone had to.) Quote
