Gartside bought me a beer once. We had a brief chat and at no point did he appear to WANT the club to be anything other than successful, but solvent.

I think I've always disliked Garty, I remember begrudgingly clapping him for coming over against Red Star, in his black leather SS coat.

Any Club that is in the same division as us,at the same time as us,is a valid comparison.Hence it is valid to compare us to Leeds/cardiff/Barnsley or Bristol City.

I bet there were loads of fans of other clubs a couple of years back saying they should have employed Coyle ahead of us, how great his football is, how good he was at finding players etc.

 

I bet there aren't many now.

 

Likewise, making judgements about Freedman and Big Mick after a third of a season is laughable. I'll wait until things have panned out properly.

I love how the anti gartslime crew never comment on how greatful they are for him helping the club through its most successful time in history. I never thought I would see us in Europe and thanks to his guidance on manager selection and negotiations in the transfer market I did. For that I will always be greatful
