Eaves can run and worked hard. Davies has not been able to do either of those all season. So for footballing reasons he doesn't deserve to be involved.

On 100% footballing reasons a player whom is not going to be in contract with the club next year despite status love for the club isn't going to be the best to have around, as much love for the club a player might have and how professional that player is surlely the desire to give it all may just start to be less important to that player where as Eaves has a point to prove Vela does, Sirdell does, these are our future, so IMO for footballing reason having these involved though this part if the season is pivotal to thier development and the future of us,

You feel Dougie is putting his neck on the line here, putting his own reputation against Davies. If we get to the playoffs without Kevin Davies (or further), Freedman wins out. The problem comes if we miss out because we can't buy a goal in the next 2 games. He'll be viewed as stubborn and possibly vindictive.
