May 5, 201313 yr Bit disappointed with his approach to the tour. Guessing it's mind games but frome did the business for him last year. Problem is, Wiggins would have won without Froome (look at the margin, and look at how little time Froome actually had to ride on the front) and yet Froome went out of his way to humiliate Wiggins on 2 stages. Add Froome's screaming mental girlfriend on twitter, and it's not that surprising Wiggins is not that well disposed to him. Plus, if you've followed Wiggin's career, then it's clear he is a poor team player (ignoring the PR nonsense of leading out Cav after 3 weeks of wasting his talent) - just look at Romandie 2010 - so this is hardly shocking. Still, struggle to believe he'll have enough left in the tank after the Giro to be strong in week 3 of the Tour. Froome will need to go very hard on the first MTF to stop Wiggin's taking yellow in the TT and pulling rank, however.
May 5, 201313 yr Fair point. From what I've read froome girlfriend has caused a lot of the problems. Agreed on he probably could have won it without him but bothers me that they appeared to have a deal that wiggins would repay the favour this year. I suppose if he thinks he's got an outside chance of doing it he's going to go for it. I'd be amazed if he pulled it off, don't think froome will make it easy.
May 5, 201313 yr Off topic slightly but who do you think will be his main challengers maaarsh? Nibali & Hesjdal are the obvious ones - most of the rest are looking pretty over the hill to be honest (Evans & Sanchez). The mountain stages here are much harder (and more numerous) than the Tour and there are more tricky intermediate stages, so Wiggins will need to be the best climber to win - 3 mins won't be a sufficient cussion if Nibali is generally consistently better than him on the climbs. He should be OK, but Nibali does seem to have improved this year.
May 5, 201313 yr Sky win the team time trial. Means they're now stuck with the leaders jersey so will have to find a way to hand it over to someone for the first week tomorrow.

May 5, 201313 yr If I was looking for riders who had improved suspiciously in recent years, you could easily look a lot closer to home, so I wouldn't really go throwing around unfounded accusations. Cycling has the strongest anti-doping policies, so the chances are it's the cleanest sport. Laughably easy to dope in so many sports that it's beyond plausible that the top guys aren't. May 5, 201313 yr Wiggins s a drugs cheat? I didn't say that, but plenty of people do. Best not to assume the evil foreigners do and our boys never would. Personally I think cyclings pretty clean at the moment.
May 6, 201313 yr doesnt help when the legal system is helping doping cover their tracks http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/cycling/10027763/Operation-Puerto-judge-sparks-outrage-by-ordering-destruction-of-blood-bags.html
May 6, 201313 yr doesnt help when the legal system is helping doping cover their tracks http://www.telegraph...blood-bags.html That case is hilarious. The judge ruled they could only hear evidence relating to cycling (25% of his clients) and now says they're going to destroy the evidence. Much relief at **** ****** and *********, as well as the ***.
May 10, 201313 yr Wiggins just lost best part of 90 seconds to everyone else, descending like a little girl. That was not part of the plan, and now means he'll be attacked constantly on every descent. Win looks a long way away now.

Much relief at **** ****** and *********, as well as the ***. clearly a man of integrity http://www.guardian....r-reveal-sports The convicted sports-doping doctor Eufemiano Fuentes is threatening to reveal the dirty secrets of the world's major sporting events as he offers to sell his story to newspapers after being convicted on public health charges in Spain for his role in helping top cyclists to cheat.Fuentes, considered one of international sport's leading dope doctors, has sent out a list of subjects that – for a price – he is now prepared to talk publicly about. It includes Spanish Champions League football teams, London marathon winners, Olympic medallists and a long list of cyclists he was involved with.
May 11, 201313 yr Wiggins currently tanking the TT, absolutely no desire, coasting in to the corners. He always was petulant and mentally weak - hilarious the misconception that has been built up as his public image from 1 year.
May 11, 201313 yr To be honest, I've always struggled to see Wiggins as anything other than an obnoxious cock, he's talented at riding a bicycle of that there is no doubt, but his attempts at trying to be funny are generally pretty cringeworthy. He dresses like a cunt as well.

What a bloke!
I like him more and more everytime I hear him speak.
