Been looking at these android tv boxes does any one on here have any knowledge about them and can you get a good amount of channel's on them

Slightly off topic ,but got an sony android tv a few months ago and you can sideload apps like firestick, its great and most apps work fine. Use it know instead of my T8 box.

Can you pause live TV on it?

No  the tv is Hd freeview  and it is possible to record to hard drive, But it has  Android  as the smart tv side. You can put Kodi , Nbc live extra on and all work great

After the latest update you can now record if you  attach a hard drive via usb. dont know if you can pause  live tv

Yep, showbox is on it.

Yes showbox,mega box.cartoon Hd all work. If they are not in google play store on the tv, just side load from phone to tv with E S Explorer.

I am a bit thick with this stuff. What do you mean by side load from phone?

Stand at the side of your telly and point your phone at the droidbox and the programmes will transfer automatically.

No. Download the app or a apk file to your  phone and then use the app E S Explorer on the same wi-fi  to move it across to the tv and install. Like you can do on a firestick.
