His company Strix also do an extensive range of hydroponics ITK fact.

So ...did the board use funds that could of been made available to the manager?

but you haven't supported the club for years, why are you bothered ?

Just because im not some sad middle aged bloke who lives his sad life looking forward to Sitting in a morgue like stadium week in week out ...I still support the club and care about the club...just woke up and smelled the coffee years ago...you shouldn't confuse not going with not supporting...and for me the football has always got in the way of a day out. ..you Could always find me sat in the general avelock after being bored shitless in the manny rd north after 20 minutes..

Now your point was what?

Turn the hotel into a skunk tomato plantation.

Edit: Nearly let the cat out the bag then, loose lips an' all that.

Speaking of which, we could re-open it as a knocking shop

Sandys might fancy opening a franchise a bit further north.

'Gash on and off the pitch'

I think the bigger question is why we haven't done this yet

Sorry to enquire, oh wise one, but pray enlighten us of how you define support. Just wondering like.

Ive earned my stripes from my first game in 1978 through all four divisions and in Europe home and away...I can therefore rest easy knowing that ive done my bit for the cause before football in this country Was totally ruined by the post euro 96 facepaint brigade

The fact is the 'club' has no money, Eddie has some, he will choose to spend his money in whatever way he sees fit.

Unless anyone on here is thinking of buying him out they can can not tell him which of his businesses to invest in.

The prick on GMR Saturday saying he should resign was probably a multi millionaire investment guru, or a dumb clueless empty head.

If he thinks spending 1p or £20m on the hotel is a better investment than buying footballers who can blame him when we spent £4m on a rumoured £60k per week on Ngog. it does not matter if he is only on £20k per week, the principle us that he is a fucking drain on the club

dumb clueless empty head.

true

But, I can understand that people would want to know more of what's going on.

Is it not totally clear already?

Don't think so

Are we

skint or

has Eddie said enough is enough or

Are we restricted by the fair play rules?

All three aren't mutually exclusive.

Indeed

Option 4; all of the above

Clearly we are skint, surely that doesn't need clarification?

Clearly Eddie has put about £100m above the point he might get back? Clearly he's not throwing money at us. Then again, is anyone here throwing their money at the club?

FFP is well documented, people should read up on it if they are concerned, it's not Eddie's job to school people.

Some people think that EDs had most of his money back from interest

I'm in the "don't know" camp

Even if he's had all his money back and made a tidy profit, it doesn't mean that he should have to put anymore in. He might just have decided he's had enough of propping the club up and wants it to stand on his own two feet. I presume there isn't a huge queue of folk wanting to buy us (unless you believe the absolute bollocks rumour that Kia are going to invest......) - so until one of us ploughs a few million of our own savings in or a foreign investor comes along and buys the club it looks like we're "stuck" with ED. With the amount of money being chucked around these days, it's sad that ED can't even be seen as a wealthy club owner, he's small fry compared to a lot of these club owners these days

if you don't know, why do some people think they do?

as for FFP not being something ED has to explain, that's fair enough

i do think it's time we had some comment from garty about how things are going

not the dreaded vote of confidence, but some statement of what we see as targets for this and the next few seasons

That i agree with. The silence is deafening. We've heard nothing since he said that Dougie was appointed 'to get us back on track'. But what does 'back on track mean'? Promotion? Lowering the wage bill? Bringing the kids through? All of the above?

I agree with this, we're pissed off that we aren't near the top, but do we know that DF has been told he's got to get us promoted immediately? - it might be part of some plan or other to just tread water until we can get rid of some significant chunks off the wage bill and then build up using youth. We might be happy to stay put in this division for 5 years if it guarantees the long term viability of the club. It would be nice if we knew what the plan is (or was prior to this disastrous start)

it might have changed :)

either way, he's got hindsight up his sleeve, so why not let us in on it while expectations are as low as they'll have been for a while

ED donates money to Manc Uni and has a library named after him or something. That could be spent on players too. Doesn't he also own horses?

True-but its Eddies missus who owns the horses-so don't cross the missus -hey

He also appears to wear tailored suits, they must cost a fortune, he should just buy them "off the peg" and that would free up extra money for players as well. And that big car he drives around in, he fucking doesn't need that, he should downgrade to a Fiat Punto, which again could quell the coffers for buying more playing staff.
