November 6, 201312 yr Me, I'm glad we didn't pay £4K for a ball. Some moonman would moan about that too. Nat's house was full of stuff, wish I'd taken photos when he gave me a guided tour.
November 6, 201312 yr Me, I'm glad we didn't pay £4K for a ball. Some moonman would moan about that too. It's difficult to decide what is decent and what is not - I had a look through and some of the stuff was just utter shit IMO. You're right though Carlos, some will no doubt moan that the club haven't bought the lot and some will moan about anything the club has bought - no win situation really
November 6, 201312 yr '58 winners medal went for over £20K. There's a load of Utd memorabilia in the same auction. Just hope that they haven't bought the '58 ball.
November 6, 201312 yr I hope the club hasn't bought any of it! We should be using the money on the playing squad not on stuff like this

November 6, 201312 yr It was fascinating watching that auction, some real history there. I'd have loved a day to view some of those letters, telegrams, programmes etc. Lets hope the club has bought some of the more significant historical items, it'd be a crying shame to lose such history to someone who'd just look at turning a quick buck. IMO, stuff like the '58 medal, ball, shirt etc are priceless to the fabric of a club's history. Fingers crossed.

November 6, 201312 yr Can't fault the council for once, no doubt our favorite council member will be on claiming credit before long .
November 6, 201312 yr Author All praise the council, and in my earlier rant I forgot to add that bwfc should of bought them then set up a display
November 6, 201312 yr Well done to the council for buying what they did. Its much better the council have the stuff rather than the club IMO.
November 6, 201312 yr Apparently a match worn shirt from Ronaldo (the good one, not the dmb) went for £50 in the auction. Gutted I didn't register, would have definitely paid £50 for it!
November 6, 201312 yr Fair play to the Bolton at Home and NCP by the way, grateful to both organisations!

November 6, 201312 yr The majority, if not all will be sponsored no doubt, not just that it's our history, the man is a legend. It has to stay here and I'm thrilled it is
