I think the (lack of) quality of the playing surface led to that approach.

Wasn't a particularly large choice of ciders in The Arrow. Bulmers in bottles, Thatchers or Old Blackthorn. Went for the latter.

Just south of Yeovil, down the road from where Little Whitt stayed, there's a farm that does "brewery tour" style sessions. It's proper stuff with bits of straw in, they throw a dead rat into the vat for extra flavour.

Thought Danns had a shit match but the turnout was good though you could of got another 5-600 in that terrace easily.
