Opposing Players You Respect And Would Happily Have A Pint With

Don Goodman from his Wolves days.

He got some serious from the Manny Rd North whilst warming up(think it was the big punch-up match) but he gave plenty back.

To his full credit he jumped down onto the gravel track and had a decent chat with Whitehaven Warrior and myself whilst doing his stretches etc.

Fair play to the lad, pretty sure it was after his bad head injury

Dean Saunders. He's Welsh, he played for Liverpool but I like him. He loved the abuse when we played Villa at Burnden in the cup.

Lovely smile

and i'd happily buy all the Chelsea team from the stamford bridge game in 97/98 a pint plus all their fans.

without making it too obviously to the entire world, they wanted us to win and send pablo's rats down. People's club,my arse !!

I thought Jody Morris was going to cry when he scored.

Chelsea scored and they all boo-ed, never forget that.

Lovely smile? His tongue was in his cheek (literally) most the time

Had a few drinks with players over the years so who i've not I'm gonna nominate a DMB; Paul Scholes

Reckon he'd have interesting views on the game

It was a general comment, not about his smile that day.

Argh right, yes, he seemed a bit of a tinker up for the #topbants ;)  He does have a nice smile though, I like that in a man, even a Welsh one  :)

He was a tinker. Remember that throw in against someone's back (a keeper maybe?)

i doubt paul elliot remembers him as a tinker

dirty welsh cnut

chrissy waddle

Johnny Evans

If it was in better circumstances for the bloke then Gazza.... loved the guy. Such a talent, as good as any in the world in his pomp

ad a pint with glen keeley from blackburn once he was a decent fella told me a few crackin football stories said the worst

centre half he played with was colin hendry he said he had to make brave challenges because his positional play was shit

Some players would make my heart sink the minute i saw them on the team sheet. Viduka, Fowler, Drogba all semmes to enjoy playing against us.

But I would have to goo with Lampard, they had a big win to win the title at our place, and he laughed when his boyhood WHU were relegated by us.

Met Glenn Keeley at a family do, took the banter in good heart, especially when I forget he had actually played for us for a while
