I think the liquor used to be made using the water that the eels were kept in, as there aren't any eels anymore it's just a watery parsley sauce. A load of places just serve it with gravy though. I once tried jellied eels, now they are fucking grim The problem I have with pie and mash is that it is devoid of taste
February 26, 201412 yr Chips, gravy and salad cream. Had it everyday at school and so did a lot of others. In my first job when I would be paid Friday and spent up by the end of the weekend if live on salad cream on toast all week for dinners. There was always bread and salad cream in the canteen. Mash beans and scrambled egg, still have that now an again.

As a stoner teenager, cheese salad butties with a spread of mayonnaise on one slice and vegemite on'tother.... Sick bastard - and an argument for not smoking weed if there ever was one (I also used to watch 'Coach' and other shite US telly whilst eating the vile concoction - don't smoke weed m'kay ) Partaken tonight and managed to avoid grim food combinations. I took Peg up to Fredericks at Chorley a couple of weeks back and she had to spoil hers with raspberry sauce, why ????
