  • Make no mistake, as big a cunt as will ever grace this stage.   Still too young to die though and unlike the those who revelled in Thatchers passing, I hope it was peaceful and painless.

Nobody's death should be celebrated like plenty of vile people and some normal celebrated Thatcher's. She wasn't everyone's cup of tea but she was some peoples family.   Same with Crow, I don't like

  • On facebook now, have to say I'm finding the succession of people wanting brownie points for not dancing on his grave even more distasteful than the 13 year old Thatcher celebration prats.   RIP Bob

i would think tho that any Brits going Spain or anywhere else would not tip up with fuck all and have nothing to offer.

Don't think the Spanish economy is that boosted by thousands of cash in hand PR's and glass collectors mate.

I'd probably ask the staff at The Benidorm A&E department their thoughts as well.

Aye, the Spanish economy is booming, our lot are going over there taking their jobs.

Been watching costa del crime have we?????

I'm viewed as a virtual communist by some on here, but have a walk around Bolton town centre, I'm going to jump in the deep end of xenophobia and prejudice here, but unless we're planning on opening a Fortune-Telling Academy or a School of Accordion Playing sometime soon, I really can't see what some of these new arrivals to the town will have to offer...

Being charitable, one might say they face discrimination in their 'home' (and I use that term loosely) countries of Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria etc. and they should be allowed an escape, but, why come to Bolton to hang around doing fuck all? It's a recipe for disaster.

It's not like we've got a deficit of unemployables in the place in the first instance.

If it's because the town are making manouvres to gain extra cash - this 'gateway town' money - then they should leave well alone, importing more ('strange') impoverished folk into an already impoverished area - it's going to end in tears.

Finally, going all Daily Mail again, I was in town on the main market, food festival type thing on the square t'other day...

I checked my wallet pocket in Bolton many more times than I ever did in recent trips to Prague, Budapest and Bucharest.

Some wag will probably be on to ponder why I was so concerned about having £12 nicked* :)

Did I miss a thread about that other darling of the left popping his clogs? Tony Benn.

I'd not put him in the same thread as Crow.

Anyone who did their bit in WW2 is alright by me.

Clearly a man of principle having renounced his title.

Misguided all the same.

As you say, a man of principles, but the wrong ones

It was covered in the Deadpool thread.

I read his obituary which helped remind me why I hated him.

one man's Benn is another woman's Thatcher?

one man's Benn is another woman's Thatcher?

He's right, or is that left? Either way, hate is a very strong word.

So who is on to bring up a red trifecta then? Probably covered in the deadpool thread. The Beast of Bolsover? Tatchell?

Has Garry Bushell popped it? He's been very quiet of late...You could apply for his job if he's brown bread, Bolty...

He was obsessed with the very minor public figure, that is Peter Tatchell, too.

:)

I'd choose Ken Livingstone

...or maybe that twat who fawned over Saddam Hussein? George Galloway.

It's a sad state of affairs that I can't think of any from the legitimate right I wish any specific harm, they're that insipid a bunch...

I might 'seagull' Michael Gove as an act of spite (he'd probably like it tho') or perhaps post a dog turd through Number 11, but that's about it.

I'd sling Pickles into a cell on bread and water for a few weeks, but only for his own good.

Michael Gove is doing a great job

The whole 'right' is (once again) doing a fine job. Fastest growing economy anywhere at present.

I just hope they get a good long run to really 'right' things and get some prosperity flowing again. If we are really lucky, the penny may drop with some of the brain dead cretins and they might vote for another term of the same before they hand it back to the serial squanderers and allow them to immerse you in the cesspool again.

They will be out on their arse. but the to be honest labour is the other cheek and has been since the early 90's.

As for right wing politicians, William Hague is my choice for the gallows. Stomach churning plummy droning mouth of sauron. Every time he spouts his propaganda on foreign policy I know the exact opposite is probably the truth.

Grant Schapps is currently my favourite ever politician.

He's a genius

We agree on many things mate but not this one. I reckon William Hague is a brilliant speaker with a unique voice.

I suffer with Milli Headband. Posh boy turned red plantpot. Sounds like he has a carrot up each nostril.

I had a really good opinion of Hague until I heard him at a meeting when he was Pensions Minister in the Major government.

He was awful - real lack of grasp of his subject, unwilling to say anything other than pure waffle in answer to relevant questions.

A few months later his Labour shadow (the late Donald Dewar) was the exact opposite - totally mastery of the subject.
