MalcolmW
If Arsenal finish fourth Hull are definitely in the EL, with fifth and sixth from the league. If Arsenal finish fifth and win the FA Cup then sixth and seventh will qualify. If Arsenal finish fifth and lose the final to Hull then sixth wil qualify and seventh will not. So former ManU captain, Steve Bruce, as Hull manager, could be the architect of ManU's exclusion from even the EL. Of course ManU could yet finish sixth or fifth (or even fourth, but that would almost certainly require a win at Everton on Easter Sunday). leigh white
Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley will always be a Bolton stronghold, never had ties with the Wiggin lot. The Cow yeds in Westhoughton are closer than us.
MalcolmW
I want United to qualify for the Europa League. If they get the last ranking place they will have 2 qualifying rounds to reach the group stage. They could meet Dundee United, and if they beat them maybe Crv Red Star. MalcolmW
I still want them to qualify. To qualify for the group stage? That would enable them to build up a healthy coefficient for the next year. If by some mischance they reach the top next season having missed out completely for a season they will not be in the top pot for seeding. Of course if the extra matches compromise their future in the PL that's a different matter (especially if we go up).
