Get an actual watch. Spend as much or as little as you want. It'll tell you the time, possibly the date and might even be water proof.

 

It won't take photos of randomers, tell you what the weather is like even though you are outside or any other pointless shit the apple watch (and all other wearables) no doubtedly do.

 

Not all devices need to be consolidated into one device. Not all devices have to have more than one use.

Ditto. I have a smartphone to take shit snaps but if I'm going on holiday I want my camera.

 

Ipod I was the same but Google play has been a revelation. All music now in the cloud. So long as I have WiFi or a signal my phone is perfect for music.

Having said that, I do like a nice "normal" watch

 

I wonder if it will ever be acceptable for folk to wear a proper watch and also a smart device of sorts on t'other wrist - it would look daft as fuck, but who knows what will be acceptable in 2024

Just seen it - looks pretty good to me. It will be a success. apple are very good at making you want what you didn't realise you wanted!
