A bunch of Lahndon nancy boys maybe, but I enjoyed that programme.

1983 was a great year.

All friends again now. Martin Kemp is lucky enough to make it onto my list.

Well, I am but I suspect its a male poster.

I quite like their new ditty

I had to turn it off after 10 minutes.

Firstly they murdered the first track and then soon after I'd had enough of Mrs lampard's whiny grating voice and looks.

It's True.

I watched them many years ago in Manchester and they were brilliant

Wanted to work at Arena for Spandau Ballet but we're at home so cant make it. Some good stuff coming up next year at Phones 4 U Arena... and some really not so good stuff.

Never forget the moment our train pulled into the station at Spandau on the way from Berlin to Hamburg.

A lot of startled and bewildered German commuters stunned at 12-15 drunken Englishmen standing from their seats and bawling out "Gold always believe in your soul"

It was looking like I had to go to an Il Divo concert there last month but managed to dodge that particular bullet.

I don't "get" Spandau Ballet.

Seems they were very popular but every song I hear makes me feel a bit sick.

Definitely had to be there.

it'll be knee deep in 40+ year old clunge. Is it LW?

Taller....

Taller....

Every bloke on here's a suspect then.

When Spandau Ballet started having hits around 1981,Punk had died,Post punk was getting tired,Disco was becoming tedious.

Their debut single "To cut a long story short" sounded fresh at the time  and some of their subsequent stuff was well written and well sung imo.

So all in all, they deserved their place as one of the biggest bands of the decade.

I must admit to being a bit of a fan of cheesy 80's music though.

It's True.

So to cut a long story short, it was all about gold?

They were pretty and pretty good. For the time.

I booked Spandau for a charity do about 3 years ago...iirc they charged £18k for a one hour set...but worth every penny!
